Yes sir. I’m from “down the baya”. I explain this to people all the time. You can be from both up the baya and down the baya, depending on who you’re talking to. Unless you from Dville, then everybody is down the baya

My wife is from Dville and knew Jude well. She told me every time she hears his name she thinks of this time they were at a party (this is gonna sound plum arse stupid for anybody who didn’t know him…and make perfect sense to anybody that did). Jude was going around asking people if they had a bowl. Why? He says “Cause I’m chili”. So stupid. So Jude

If the person who hit him lives in the BR area I have to think they will catch him. A black range rover with a banged up front will stick out like a sore thumb and someone will notice.

I guess there is a small chance it could have been a Tennessee fan who did it as they left to head back to Knoxville.

Nope. I’m not from Dville but did a lot of work in plants in the area so know a lot of folks down that way.

Meaning that whoever hit him will report their car was stolen and it wasnt them driving the vehicle.

This is what happens when stupid people don't drive as the roads are intended to be driven on. You think you're being courteous, but you're fricking things up for people behind you.

Range Rover driver is obviously a moron, bur this person that decided stopping in the middle of the street to let some random pedestrian cross is no genius.

Holy shite that is awful. Infuriating there are drivers like that. I've seen it in the morning in school zones even.

This was a multi-lane street (at least close to Burbank with map I am using). If lane Range Rover used was a legal thru lane not a turn only lane or opposing traffic lane the biggest thing is the running after the hit. It’s possible that outside of something already illegal going on in or with black Range Rover that had person not run they wouldn’t be charged.

If what others have said about it not being well lit making less likely people are seen I am going to wait to cross until I can see all directions as clear and not rely on one car flashing me to go who can’t control other lanes. A car crossing from a side street or parking lot exit in front of flashing lights car will be at fault if gets hit by a car in other oncoming thru lane.

Edit: I may have read article saying off Burbank a little too strictly along with some in thread mentioning Ben Hur intersection with Burbank. Closer to Burbank is where Ben Hur looks to have multiple lanes (not just the turn lanes that are also there), but it is only two lanes west of that area to Nicholson. Still not sure exactly where accident happened.

Going to or from Whataburger from a nearby apartment/condo.
Saturday was an LSU game day. Even though the game was early there's going to be lots of people around that area long into Saturday night and Sunday morning. And yes, even people older than college students.

Just going by map app that is true for most part until you get closer to Burbank, but I am not really sure where this accident took place. A little East of Creek Centre to Burbank you have multiple lanes in both directions. It’s just briefly multi lanes going eastbound before Burbank, but Westbound from Burbank has multiple lanes a little longer until past that entrance to apartments west of creek centre.
