Won't work and will tack more charges on if tried.

Update. Driver has come forward LINK
quote:

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The driver of an SUV wanted for the deadly hit-and-run of a pedestrian on Ben Hur Road has come forward and is being interviewed by Baton Rouge police this morning, a source familiar with the case said.
The driver, a 21-year-old, will face criminal charges in the case, the source said.
The driver is accused of running into 44-year-old Jude Jarreau late Saturday night October 8.
Jarreau and a friend were attempting to cross Ben Hur Road near Burbank Drive when he was hit by an SUV, police said.

Some family didn't want their good name ruined and they were able to pull some strings and keep it out of the media?

I guess we’ll have to wait for Kiran to publish the name since she is the only real investigative reporter in Baton Rouge.

If you hit someone hard enough to kill them then drive off, you deserve everything that’s coming to you.

His dad played for Denver Broncos. Such a tragedy for both families. He is quarterback at LA Tech. Played in one game this year. I am willing to bet, kid will not spend one day in jail.

It is a tragedy but not for the offender's family. He needs to be punished to the full extent of the law regardless of whether they're athletes or have money
