My iPhone was less than $1,000 and does more than tells the time.

I have a couple of Tags that were reasonably priced. And they hold their resale value.

I'm a simple guy and this does the job for me. Without the sparkles it is only $50, but I wanted to class it up a little:

Far from it.

Pragmatic is the word I believe you were looking for.

Watches are pretty subjective...

Three brands to look at: Sinn, Oris, Longines.

I always see people post things like this in watch threads. Do that many people really resell their used watches? When I buy an expensive watch I usually plan on keeping it.

I also saw OP break a guitar over his head once fwiw

Or a TESTAF

Or something more traditional if you don’t want a sports watch.

The poster "Broke" is a watch person.

Maybe that's what he was intending to mean? Idk.

My TAG is still great after 13 years and would be around the top of that price point. But people on here won't like that suggestion.

Does Ball have some in the range? Pretty sure Sinn has a nice model around that price. Also look at Marathon GSAR auto. The marathon is a tank. That's probably what I would get. I almost pulled the trigger on one this last year.

Why would anyone spend more than ~$100 on a watch? You can’t tell quality from a distance.

I won't sell my watches, but I've perused the used watches online and there is a huge market for it.

You can get some awesome deals on really nice used watches.
