Rovyvon on Amazon. Very small. About 2 inches long but it’s 650 lm has a rechargeable battery and a strobe light. It’s about $20. I’ve been carrying mine now at work for about five years and it has never missed a beat. I’ve decided if I lose it or I do tear it up I’m buying another one.

Streamlight protac 1-AA

I’ve tried a bunch that can be carried clipped to a pocket and this is the one. Takes CR-123s or a single AA in a pinch. Bright as all hell but not bulky at all, rechargable CR-123 will last awhile.

I know it's not under $20 but we've always use streamlights for about $115. They last and rechargeable is better than batteries. The batteries last years. Just make the jump and you wont need another

Streamlight microstream very portable and disappears in your pocket. Try the wedge xt if you are looking for something little more substantial yet also easy to carry

They're $13 for 2, what are you risking?
I have a couple of these, which helpfully includes an LCD readout of % of battery life.

Walmart had all of the flashlight under the glass cabinet so ypu have to buzz an employee to get a flashlight.

Are flashlights that hot as a stolen item?

Check out Sofirn. I have several and they have options for whatever your budget is. The best hunting headlamp I own is from them and it was $14

Under $20 that isn't junk is tough. I've EDC'd a Streamlight Wedge for a few years now and it's been solid. 300/1000 lumen and plenty of run time, USB-C charging, decent deep-carry pocket clip.

A lot of people are recommending good brands, but way over your budget.

Something close that is actually solid and bright (though not super bright in today's world but is for your budget) is the Wurkkos TD02.

$26.99 on Amazon. I have given several of their more expensive ones as gifts and everyone loves them. They are well reviewed by the flashlight review channels and forums.

El Gaucho strikes me as the type of person who’d use matches if he needed light.

I’ve got a few of these around and they work great and are usb-c rechargeable. They also make great stocking stuffers. And there’s a flash sale at Amazon right now 11% sold.

Got this olight from amazon, perfect little pocket sized light

LINK

the rechargeable keychain olight was decent too but way too small size wise, the thing is the size of a pen cap. No way that thing wasn't getting lost
