re: Mice got in my boat.

I was finding mouse droppings around my boat trailer, got an electronic rodent repeller off Amazon and haven't seen a dropping since. I thought I was wasting my money but it seems to work, I just throw it under the cover and plug it into the receptacle with the battery charger.

Did he swerve and brake hard to avoid Lacy? He claims he did neither, but you are more of a witness than the person there
So "I didn't skid-mark or nothing" means he didn't brake at all? He says on his written statement both occurred....

Yet clearly also states it was the woman behind him’s fault for the crash and that he didn’t slam his brakes as she made up
The driver of the gold truck has the same simpleton mindset as everyone on Facebook and Twitter that she "caused the wreck" because she was physically in it but not the cause of it. If Lacy wasn't in the wrong lane driving "head on" at that gold truck then no one hits their brakes there, no one crashes there, and no one dies there.
That witness in the body cam footage that Lacy's own lawyer posted said that the charger was coming "head on" at him if you re-watch the police officer getting that witness statement from the black guy in the gold truck

Pod Of Geauxld, Off the Bench, and AYS are my go-tos when I want my LSU fix

Research shows that 2 drinks a week or less is the limit for the normal person without having negative effects from alcohol.
I just save my 104 drinks per year to all be had during LSU games and concerts

that trooper messed up and literally put words into mouth of the witness. Or rather tried to.
I mean the trooper literally has the most important witness in the accident on body cam saying that the charger was coming at him "head on" at the end of the video. Not sure what the lawyer was thinking posting that.
Officer: "but the charger was coming right at you correct?"
Guy in the gold truck that did the witness statement: "head on"

You do realize two cars traveling at each other at just 50mph cover that distance in like 1.3 seconds right?

He played his best vs Oklahoma and Baylor (both aftter the 8&4 game)
re: The issue at hand on offense is easily solvable. The solution is not out of grasp

Watching this offense is like watching track stars race in a cubicle, it's infuriating opposed to years past
The issue with the north endzone is the student section area is way too crowded to be having carts thrown out about the narrow tunnels and ramps. Walking to the concessions is 10 minutes by itself shuffling through there

re: WWTOTD? Uber Share

I'm pretty sure that whoever books the Uber is responsible for what happens in the Uber so I'd be a bit weary of having some random hop in the Uber with me, cause a wreck or something, then they hold me accountable because it's associated and booked with my account.
Like imagine if the rando robs you and the driver and you're like "sorry, no clue who that was". A prime example would be how they can charge you like $200 for puking in the ride. Imagine if you let someone ride, they blow chunks, and you're stuck with a 1 star rating and a $200 cleaning fee.

What are your recommendations on bars/restaurants in the area?

However, if you’re mostly concerned with fishing at night and catching those fish, an overhead light will yield better results on a more consistent basis. I feel very confident about that.
We've found this too. Fish are more likely to scatter after one is caught from a green light for some reason as opposed to an old school halogen bulb setup mounted to a piling

Ours is just from "Underwater Fish Light"s website. Plug it into a normal receptacle, tie the included weight to the bulb, and throw it overboard. All you've got to do, just make sure it's deep enough to not get hit with props or anything but baits and hooks can ruin the wires/bulbs
There is a brand called "underwatergreenfishinglights" that makes a more powerful bulb and setup. Even in dirty fresh water it's visible from across the lake, here's one of theirs. It's pretty impressive but it's more expensive.

Starbrite makes two
A "hull cleaner" and a "bottom cleaner". The bottom cleaner is a lot stronger and works best for that brown rust looking stains. I'd wear gloves and goggles and wax after using it. Also gotta make sure and rinse your trailer and ant metal it touches with fresh water because it's acidic. I try to use the bottom cleaner and wax it when the brown stains start to show every 6 months or so.
I just used it on mine last week to remove the stains, 13yo boat that gets fished in Louisiana algae heavy water 2 days a week.
*Just saw the update, glad you bought the right one haha

re: Mono backing for braid on spinning reels
Posted by John_V on 8/13/25 at 12:20 am to tigerbait1970
It's purpose is so you can fill up your spinning reel without having to buy a spool of braid everytime you restring your reel. Depending on the size of your reel's spool, some 3000 size spinning reels can hold 50-100yds of mono then you can fill the rest with one 150-200yd spool of your goto braid.
Filling it up to capacity helps with casting distance and all that and like others said prevents the braid from slipping. If you do buy 300yd spools of braid and want to use all braid then when you tie the braid to the spool just put some electrical tape over the knot and make sure it's spooled up tightly to the spool to prevent slipping
Technically your goal is to have enough braid on the spool so that you'll never have a fish get down to the backing unless it's a fish you don't have any shot of landing
