You most likely wont need reservations for lunch/dinner early in the week. There generally isnt a line and if one tent is super busy you can try one of the 17 others.
For Thursday/Friday/Saturday you definitely would need reservations for the evening. For lunch if you show up early enough, lets say like 1030 they will likely have space for you, in my experience.
You're right they generally don't go lower than 4 people reservations for tables. When I went, I had to buy a table of 6 for a group of 4 at one tent....but you can easily sell off the extra wristbands/beer and meal coupons they give you if you are inclined to recoup some of the cash.
Many people stand outside with the hopes enough people leave so they can get inside. Usually the line never moves fast and you can end up waiting for hours (ask me how I know). But in my instance I went out to the line and found some folks who I asked if they'd be willing to buy a wristbands and they said yes. There is no doubt someone will be willing to pay to get in, people in the line get desperate.
If I were you I would book reservations for 2-3 of the busier nights and then roll the dice for the other times. With as large as it is, you'll find an open tent on the off nights for sure

re: Dodgers owner Mark Walters being investigated

DOJ had Mark Walter red handed for shady dealings. Walter pressured to sell to Kushner to appease DOJ, given Kushner's ties to Trump.
Seems a little sus

re: has Best Buy made a comeback?
Posted by ArmydawgMD on 8/10/26 at 9:50 am to Sam Quint
I ordered an electric scooter from Best Buy last summer. They quoted me saying it would arrive in one week. Well one week later it hadn’t even shipped. I asked for a refund. They gave me a run around. Eventually I got it 2.5 weeks late but their refusal to refund or at least accurately project when it would ship means I won’t buy from them again

Our unit did a staff ride through the Metz area. Our guide took us on a cool walk that the troops did starting from Croix Saint Clement trail through the village of Ancy Dornot down the main street, the street has several placards recalling the engineering unit who fought off fire from the Germans across the river.
Another day we did a trip to Fort Saint Blaise, which is essentially ruins in the woods, but you were able to explore it and take a short hike. It was just outside the town of Augny.

I imagine pool owners would jump at the opportunity to recoup some of the maintenance and installation costs. If it’s only a couple hours once or twice a week, that’s not bad

If federal tax dollars are supporting these institutions then I damn sure want some accountability in how they operate
re: Terrapin is closing it's Athens brewery
Posted by ArmydawgMD on 8/5/26 at 1:58 pm to Rex Feral
Can’t say Terrapin beer was my favorite but I did really like their Hopsecutioner. They seemed to always try interesting flavor combos like peanut butter bacon, etc. It was good for an in person brewery environment but not something I’d jump to buy in stores.

I started watching in 2002, and in my eyes we were a national contender every 5 years.
2002-lost one game but easily could have made it to the natty if OSU or Miami were to slip up
2007-still think we were the best team that year. Freaking Kentucky loses it to Tennessee and we are left out of theSECCG. Of course LSU jumps us despite us being higher ranked initially.
2012-the setback at USC was worrisome but after beating Florida everything fell into place. I remember seeing all the teams ahead of us lose the weeks before the SECCG. We take Alabama to the ropes and honestly still not sure how we blew the lead after the blocked FG
2017-Another magical year, everything just worked out. Of course Auburn beats us but we turn around and beat them.
Then we had to wait 4 years…2021, then 1 year….and since then we’ve been a contender annually.
Honestly I think if we hadn’t played in the SECCG the past 2 years we would have another natty too. Seems we just have run out of gas after those games and have nothing left in the tank for the playoff

Wanting to reread the story after watching the movie. I last read ‘The Adventures of Ulysses’ by Bernard Evslin back in middle school.
I am looking for a similar prose, easy to read version, geared for adults. Any recs?

re: Curt Cignetti or Kirby Smart
Posted by ArmydawgMD on 7/10/26 at 6:15 am to FlyingTigerBo
Cignetti couldn’t win consistently in the SEC. The downside of this conference is by the end of the season, UGA’s team is so broken, they play less than optimally in the playoffs. I think Indiana is gifted an easy schedule with a few tests thrown in so they can grow, but there schtick wouldn’t be the same if they were SEC

Cape Verde isn’t bad with their ball skills and passing, they just don’t have any finishing third play that we’ve seen yet

re: What is your bar for describing this World Cup as "successful" for USMNT?

Sure we won a knockout game, but in the old format Bosnia wouldn't have even qualified.

Loss in Rd of 16=Disappointment in my book since you have to go back to 2002 since the last time we advanced past that stage
Host nations have historically over performed at the WC (minus Qatar) therefore QF at a minimum for me to say success and semis would be a pleasantly surprised success
