Some of them you can just replace the blade. It unscrews.

But I use a Remington vacuum one. It saves me so much with the cleanup.


Remington Vacuum trimmer

I bought one of these at Ross for less than 20 bucks.

Has 3 sizes of cutters and a nose trimmers with a dozen guides. My beard is variable from just a light stubble to ¼". It is rechargeable and had for probably 10 years.

I just bought a Freebird. I love it.

I’ve used the Braun S9 for the last 4 years or so. I use it 3 times a week.

They say to replace the head every 18 months, but I do it every 6 just because.

It has its own self cleaning cleaning stand.

I love it, smooth shave every time.

I’m about to replace it because the button has finally worn out, but it’s been well worth the price.

I have a cheap Wahl that I bought from Target. It works great on my head and face and I bought it in 2008 and have never replaced anything on it. I use it, brush the hair off it it, and put it back in the case. Been doing that for 18 years and have never had any issues with it whatsoever.

I do it once a week and usually don't run into that issue. I originally had one of the no-name brands from Amazon, in my opinion the blades on the Remington are much higher quality and don't clog up as much. That was the issues with the missed spots from the cheap Amazon one. The blades would clog up and not do a great job of cutting.

I still check with mirrors, but with the Remington I usually just run my hands over my head and can tell the spots I've missed. Like any shaver of this sort you'll have to do multiple passes and find the right amount of pressure, but I've had good luck with this one.

If you're willing to take it down to the scalp, get the Skull Shaver. I've had one for almost 10 years now and it hasn't given me any troubles shaving my head 3-4 times a week.
