I watched In the Land of Saints and Sinners last week and bizarrely enough I didn’t recognize Joffrey alongside Liam Neeson. For starters I thought he had quit acting, but I can’t believe I didn’t recognize that magnificently punchable face

I definitely thought Kit Harrington was going places, but so far everything I’ve seen has been mediocre B flicks. And I just try to brain bleach his loathsome character from Industry

The most noteworthy thing Dinklage has done is read that beautiful poem in front of the courthouse in NYC a couple of years ago. And everything I’ve seen Emilia Clarke in has been awful. I don’t even recognize anything from Sophie Turner’s IMDb

Am I forgetting anyone?

Is this the only thread on this? I just watched the new episode that dropped today. I’ve enjoyed the hell out of it. It’s just an overall fun watch with a really solid cast. Exactly what we’ve come to expect from Apple. I hope they wrap it well next week. Not sure if it has sequel potential, but I certainly wouldn’t mind it

Glad to see this pop up. I’ve been flirting with bingeing this for a while now. Does it keep you dialed in pretty well though all 4 seasons? Thats a lot of film to keep from dragging at some points. And more importantly, do they wrap it up well at the end?

I love early American historical series/films when done well. Im pretty surprised this has stayed under my radar for over 10 years now

Only a total 3rd world animal suffers all that then arrives and acts a fricking fool. Which happens obviously, but I wouldn’t assume the % would be super high

Bald guy thread: Clipper recs

So for years I’ve been a no attachment guy (stubble) and use a 1 and a 2 to blend in my beard

But man im sick of buying 4 or so pairs a year. I keep them oiled, brush them out after use, and typically dry them off after use. But dang if I can keep them sharp enough to last more than 3-5 months. Am I just using crap clippers? I typically grab the close to $50 pairs from Wal Mart or CVS. Am I doing it wrong?

Allow me to add that I have long deprived myself of the gem that is Downton Abby. What a fantastic show. Im on season 3 and very much hope it hope it holds its weight for another 3

Post me your favorite PBS/Masterpiece Theatre series

I have been recovering from an extended hospital stay and have been binging some absolutely incredible series. These are the ones I’ve seen in the last few weeks in no particular order, but all spectacular by their own right. Also, I’m an unrepentant sucker for Dickens and Austen productions

1. Sanditon
2. The Mayor of Casterbridge
3. The Forsyte Saga
4. The Count of Monte Cristo
5. Grantchester
6. Wolf Hall

There’s probably a couple more I’m forgetting but that the main ones coming to mind.
It’s incredible how many unforgettable series Masterpiece Theatre have given us. Full disclosure, I am an absolute fool for British period stuff. A few that I’ve started and watched maybe 1/3 of and haven’t finished are Poldark and Sherlock. Simply due to timing or circumstances

Would love to hear any under the radar greats that I’ve missed. I have a ton of time on my hands lol

And yes Downton Abbey is probably next on my list

Probably banging twinks on a yacht in the Mediterranean somewhere if I had to guess. With Louis Vuitton loafers on

I did get extremely lucky and rode Hex from around 03 to .37 for a shitpile of money. Which convinced me to put about $50k in his dumb arse Pulse “sacrifice” lol I was so pissed off at the 2yr wait that I cashed out weeks later for around a 20% haircut. Still came out like a champ big picture

There’s no bigger obnoxious douche in all of crypto. I would find it way funnier if I didn’t personally know of some really sad stories associated with Hex/Pulse. Including my best friend
