Aunt Becky told Uncle Sam to go frick himself. When Uncle Sam gets to fricking, it ain't ever himself.

If I was a betting man, my money would be on her getting Wesley Snipes kind of time on the tax stuff and out in well under five years.

Why aren’t the daughters in some sort of legal trouble as well? They knew damn good and well what was going on with this.

She will not get anywhere close to 45 years. That's just the max someone could get.

She should have taken the plea.. But if she would happen to get 45 then that's on her, she knew the risk when she didn't take the plea.

If she gets anything over 10 years, my money is all in on Trump giving her a full pardon in October just ahead of the 2020 election to secure the female vote.

did I miss something, cuz I understand “setting an example” of the giver of said funds, however, where’s the “example being set” with the institution and person(s) involved in the receiving of said funds?

What did Martha Stewart get? Several months? I'd be surprised if she got more than 2 years.

She will probably get a few months then tack on some probation and community service (which she will just get someone to sign off on)..

She will just lose her freedom. The type of prison she’s going to won’t necessarily qualify as rough.

She’s going to get more time than actual criminals, you can bet on that. People running drugs and guns get out in a couple months, she’ll probably do a couple years.

She’d just flee the country if she thought she was going to get real time like that.

Might be a little tricky without a passport.

Hey, maybe they could smuggle her into Mexico in a musical instrument case, ala Carlos Ghosn. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen if she got caught trying to skate?

The Stanford coach who took bribes was given probation. No jail time.

They still haven't sentenced Rick Singer. He's the guy that made it all happen. It will be interesting to see if/what time he gets.

Yep.. which is why it’s asinine whenever people talk about how ‘celebrities’ get some sort of free pass for stuff like this, or that ‘celebrities think theyre above the law’... As in the Martha Stewart example above, I dont know what an average person would get in that scenario, but i sure know that Martha Stewart didnt get off with a slap on the wrist.. Same with Lori Loughlin; who knows what all the other offenders (except Felicity Huffman) got/are getting in re to jail time, because the celebrities almost always get made an example of... Not saying being a celebrity is at all difficult or we should be sympathetic to them, but the idea that they usually skate while the average person doesnt, is ridiculous.

Agreed. Talk about overkill. We have people doing less time for murder in some cases.

Amber Guyger got just 10 years for murdering Botham Jean.
