You do see the irony in this, right?
Nopey, I see no irony in my post. Sorry. :dunno:
now people like you act like you are more patriotic by just paying it and doing whatever the government says.
From the way I’ve run my businesses over the years to the organi...
a legitimate non profit here in the greatest country on earth benefits from a donation by me.
Nothing to do with this internet “challenge” game, but I set up an investment fund to do the very same thing several years ago. Just feels right. No offense to him, but remembe...
Also my 6 month emergency is all Treasury ladders do I segregate that or count towards my total mix?
Segregate that. The whole point of an emergency fund is near instant liquidity in the event of an “emergency”, right? So if you’re laddered in Treasury bills for that purpose, i...

I’m assuming you sold covered calls. If so, what strike and expiration did you sell? WMT earnings come out pre-market on 5/16 (goes ex-div by probably $.2075 on 5/9). I’ll likely do something with weekly 5/17 options that week. ...
Popping in to bump this thread.
 A good bit of action on both sides (up & down) of the market this week. Apart from my standard 0DTE SPX trades, in my investment account I did play some earnings: PAG (Penske - my pick for President if I’m ever made king ) and CBOE (...
You can't buy a $100 gift card for $100 can you? Isn't there a mark up of some sort?
You may be thinking of the reloadable Visa, etc. cards. Those do have a markup. But for actual gift cards, I’ve not noticed any with fees or markups. ...
You could still try Hagerty.
That’s who I would start with as well - it’s certainly worth a try. I have several collectible automobiles (but all over 35 years old), and although there are others, Hagerty is an excellent choice. ...

OK. Thanks for the background. And since you mentioned this in your OP,
The problem is I have very little if any time to properly invest it on my own.
I would at least do some reading on different types of ETFs in particular and equity markets in general, so that you can select so...

You keep posting it and yet, so many don’t/won’t take the suggestion. But it’s been a very convenient place for me to stash cash from option sales while I await the next opportunity (in other words, it’s very liquid). Anyway…...
I took TSLA 169,165,170 and 200Cs last week when they were dirt cheap.
Well played. 4/26 expiration? Are you exiting or holding? I didn’t get a chance to listen to the call, but the market reaction has certainly been positive. ...
Bingo, market got ahead of Tesla, but Telsa has established itself as the GM or Ford of the EV market. So goes the ev market, so goes Tesla. EV market is just having some issues right now, but it is the future of cars regardless of what people think.
What you’re saying may be true....

TSLA on deck after hours tomorrow. 72% IV and 99% IV percentile! Who dares to test the option waters with this one? I’ll likely do a smallish 10-12 delta short put play in my investment account. It’s been beaten down pretty badly of late. But if nothing is said on the call about addressing the g...
Not sure what to think at this point. Is it a good time to buy for some now it’s settled? Or will it continue to drop.
What does the little birdie think? Jokes aside, was this set up to be a longer term investment or a shorter term trade? The answer ...
Ok..... 0DTE.... what are you thinking guys?
That pop in the VIX certainly raised the “wage rate” for us premium sellers today. :pimp: So yes, in my business account I put on a decent sized 0DTE far OTM/5delta short put spread position on SPX earlier in the afternoon. I h...
What is considered long term? 10 years?
Good question. IMO, it’s somewhat age and circumstance dependent.
