re: So I bought some Gamestop(GME) - Jag_Warrior on 1/22/21 at 2:55 pm
I’m not rich but I’ve made enough money in the past 2 weeks to do so much. I tapped out most of my GME now after the second breaker. I’ll likely buy some more calls next week to see if the market will actually allow it to squeeze farther
re: So I bought some Gamestop(GME) - Jag_Warrior on 1/22/21 at 10:52 am You’re rolling strike after strike on GME. You made a GREAT call on this one. Nice.... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: So I bought some Gamestop(GME) - Jag_Warrior on 1/21/21 at 1:02 pm Talk about intraday volatility!
With the 173% IV, 34% IV rank and crazy premiums, I was drawn to play GME on the short put options side (expiring tomorrow). Are any of you attempting to swing, or even day trade this ticker, or day trade the options (long or short)?... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Stocks on your watch list - Jag_Warrior on 1/21/21 at 9:35 am
Britain’s IG Group Holdings Plc agreed to buy Chicago-based online brokerage Tastytrade Inc. for $1 billion, predicting retail stock traders in the U.S. are about to embrace derivatives.
re: Is anyone following WorkHorse ( WKHS )? - Jag_Warrior on 1/21/21 at 9:23 am After a dip at the open, the news was absorbed and it’s stable again. I have some short 22 puts that expire tomorrow. But I’m comfortable taking it at that strike, so I’m good either way - just didn’t want to see it nosedive.... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |

re: BlackBerry transformation - time to buy is now - Jag_Warrior on 1/19/21 at 11:22 am
I’m not selling my shares but sold some weekly calls I bought Friday afternoon for a nice profit
I don't understand the downvotes.
You went double bullish (long shares and long calls). You sold out of the calls for a profit and remained long shares. Your trades... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |

re: Historically, when a market drops, do essentially all stocks drop with it? - Jag_Warrior on 1/16/21 at 3:08 pm
There is a measure called “Beta” that basically indicates how much a stock moves in relation to the market as a whole.
Great post.
For those who use portfolio margin in their trading activities, beta, especially as it relates to position and sector cross-correlation, is an EX... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Historically, when a market drops, do essentially all stocks drop with it? - Jag_Warrior on 1/16/21 at 12:57 pm Well, looks like we agree again.
I don't say this out of a desire for Schadenfreude, but at some point, all major (especially near parabolic) market moves revert to the mean. Sometimes they ease back, sometimes it's more violent. And few ever expect it or accurately predict the timimg. ... Posted on Money Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |

re: How much is too much in terms of HSA accounts? - Jag_Warrior on 1/15/21 at 11:30 am
No such thing with an HSA. If there's a better tax shelter our there, I'd love to hear it.
Exactly. The HSA is certainly at or near the top of the list when it comes to tax advantaged investing.

re: BlackBerry transformation - time to buy is now - Jag_Warrior on 1/14/21 at 2:41 pm
I saw this late and got in at $8.88/sh. I then sold covered calls at $15/sh at a 6% yield that expire in two weeks. If these get called away I'd be thrilled. Thanks OP.
I still loosely follow BB and used to trade the equities and options pretty frequently. Just based on my limited reading recently, I agree with your take.
