What is actually being reported on the buyout numbers for Brian Kelly & the staff that's been or will be fired?

Where is that money actually coming from?

Will update the thread title as decently legitimate reporting is shared:

Per LSBoosie/Ross D.

As of now, it is the full amount that he is contractually owed. So $53ish million. They are currently working on negotiations for a new buyout.

then why can't Brad Davis coach our OL to do it...? :banghead:
I bet her Office Ice Breaker "2 Truths & a Lie" is pretty easy to figure.
Wow. Terrible for everyone involved.
Families that were already destroyed are now WORSE off than before.
Another family, who is now apparently at fault, has to deal with everything now.
Lacy & his family are owed MILLIONS of apologies from every sports writer/commentatatator + 10,000s of posters here on TD alone.

RIP Kyren Lacy

Strong point. 80% of youth coaching is "herding cats". The other 20% is attempting to teach them some form of fundamentals & game play understanding.
I am glad to see the growth of the youth ages in Lafayette. They seem to really care about helping families get started in lacrosse & navigate the cost. When done correctly, getting started in lacrosse can be done as easy as sticks only, which nearly matches the cost for soccer. The no-travel/Rec approach is great to see as well. We need that back in so many sports.

Then once a kid wants to move up into pads, the cost for lacrosse can be very close to, if not slightly less than, football these days. And it's certainly cheaper than travel baseball with all the bats, gloves, & accessories kids are getting these days.

My sauces & social media searches tell me the following schools need some help:

Willow Charter (NOLA) - asst. coaches & players
Shaw (NOLA) - head coach + 1+ asst. coach

Pelicans Lacrosse Club (Dutchtown/Prairieville) - asst. coaches

Lafayette Lacrosse League (6th-8th graders) - head coaches + asst. coaches
Youngsville Lacrosse League (6th-8th graders) - head coaches + asst. coaches

Capt. Shreve HS (Shv) - head coach + asst. coach (might have been filled/waiting for annoucement?)

Red River Youth Lacrosse (Shv) - all ages, all coaches

Adding my post to help keep bumped as well.

My grandsons played lacrosse throughout middle & high school. Made them all much better athletes (between them they also played football, basketball, & wrestled). They only dealt with minor injuries across the sports & I know it is a combination of luck + the mix of NOT getting torn down by repetitive motion/lift style injuries you typically see in kids who "specialize" in a sport.

2 of them earned academic + lacrosse scholarships in NCAA D2 for undergrad. 1 has graduated & is now at LSU for grad school. The 2nd will likely head to LSU for grad school as well. They've really enjoyed their experiences & I know my kids enjoyed the savings on tuition/etc.

Neither of them were big enough for football scholarships. Lacrosse was able to allow them to utilize their athleticism to better their collegiate paths, rather than just going to an in-state school as a NARP.

this is LA, baw...are you really asking...? :rotflmao:
We have these hackers just going after 100s of decent companies trying to collect ransoms from data hacks OR they're doing all this disinformation/Russia collusion BS.

Why aren't they actually going after the credit companies, the student loans databases, the Epstein Files, etc. ?
I'd get a piece of 2/5, trying to bunt...
1 thing that baffles me is how in any state/district in the U.S. that we have School Board members serving in roles with 0-5 years of classroom experience.

How in the world do we not have School Boards full of teachers with experience in the classroom of 15+ years as well as at least a Masters Degree in Education?
Spinoff of today's thread about teachers being cranky headed back to the classroom after "60 days off".

We at the OT have used our powers for good & for evil over the last 3+ decades. I say we use this thread, at least, for good:

How can we actually "save" &/or improve public education in the U.S. ?
Looks like Bernhardt to the Denver Outlaws. If that goes in = Outlaws are STACKED.
With all of the roster moves, I definitely think we see the PLL grow to 10 teams for Summer 2026. The talent is out there. Just need to keep growing the TV/streaming audience.

Great to see a "new" winner in a great battle. Wasn't 1 sided. Game kept our attention. Just a shame they still hold this championship in NFL stadiums. Seems completely foolhardy.
