Was reading up on this last week. They will have cameras in between to warn you if you are crossing faster than allowed and give you the opportunity to reduce your speed before hitting the end.

I hope someone updates/bumps this thread when they get a ticket to show us who it comes from. If it's some out of state crap, I wish them luck in enforcing it.

I was talking to my brother in law about this the other day....this seems ripe for some constitutional legality challenges.
I expect this law will makes its rounds in the court system before it ever goes into effect if it ever does.

I drive it everyday and plan on going 40mph. These are money hungry morons making this law. I really hope this equals gridlock on the bridge. I wonder if these tickets will apply to our legislators who use the bridge and drive above 80. More traffic fine equal higher insurance premiums as well. Great leadership we have in this state. We need a list of everyone that voted for this crap!! I’m done.

This is so Louisiana. Will do this but won't enforce minimum speed limits, left lane, etc. fricking stupid and a waste of time and money.

Perhaps it will slow the idiots down that speed and lessen the accident deaths on that stretch. Just a thought.

No there won't.
This law is stupid beyond belief. I emailed my representative about it asking for a NO vote - got zero response, then realized she was a co-sponsor of the bill.
I fricking hate Louisiana. I have all the career pull to move, but can't really at this point due to wife's career and family.
