I mean, if they are carrying them around in papooses and not teaching them things a father should be teaching, then maybe its not a good thing.

I’m not seeing how a dad who carries his kids around in a papoose is more likely to fail to impart fatherly wisdom than the dad who spends that same amount of time at the office or in his man cave because he can’t be bothered with childcare.

Because the man carrying around his kid in a papoose is much more likely to raise a wimp? I think that’s what people have been insinuating but just too reticent to speak it maybe.

Why? It's the easiest way to carry around a new born and still get shite done, and they seem to be more comfortable for the baby.

And I’m just saying that any dad who cares more about how they appear to randoms on the street than he does about caring for his kids in an effective manner is a shitty human being.
If wearing your kid helps you function more efficiently (It does), why do you care? I just don’t understand why people insist that other people do things the hard way because they believe it “looks better”. It’s absurd.

but apparently being secure and not giving a shite is no longer "manly"
At Mardi Gras for example, I had two options
A. Hold the baby/let the baby crawl around for 2-4 hours meaning I couldnt enjoy myself as much due to having to constantly be alert etc
B. Put the baby in a carrier(my wife cant do it becuase she isnt strong enough. Being an acutal fricking man with muscles allows me to do it)and drink manly fricking beer and enjoy myself because I have both hands free and dont have to worry about the baby crawling into the street and getting hit by a tractor

And when he first saw my brother in law rocking the baby carrier while drinking a beer, he said :

Thats a mans response. Wishing he had something that made life easier, not being a little bitch worried about how shite looks

I spend a ton of time with my kids and wouldn’t change that for anything in the world. I can’t imagine dads that don’t like to.

As soon as I became a dad it boggled my mind how anyone could intentionally avoid caring for their child. Takes a special soullessness to be that big of a piece of shite. Deadbeat dads of all races are not shamed enough, but especially ones in the African American community. It’s exponentially a higher problem there than any other race. I don’t know why.
