Didn’t say it did. But you have to have noticed more parents far less likely to let their kids out of their sight now than in the past. Think of letting your 7 year old

I have a 10 and 7 y/o. They all still do that, even with their friends. I went squirrel hunting the other day and saw 2 kids fishing in a creek and bicycles nearby. They were both 9, not a house anywhere nearby.

Depends on the dad. I know some who don't discipline their kids bc their wife read some horseshite book.
If you actually parent...which means sometimes having to discipline your child, then no. I don't think it pussifies them.
The problem is more with men modeling themselves on pop culture dads who are weak, submissive, and always the butt of the joke.
Dual incomes might contribute indirectly to this situation, but don't cause it.

Yeah because being a sailor on a ship headed to the new world, while being flogged regularly and otherwise treated like crap while you battle dysentery and eat stale bread just to make the guy who owns the ship wealthy just sounds so alpha and manly.
