re: Are modern fathers spending too much time with their kids?

Thank LBJ and his damnable “great society”
Most jobs used to be for men to provide for their families. When we opened up the labor force and increased single motherhood through welfare, the value of men’s work was lessened. With more money coming in from dual incomes inflation rose and our money became worth less. It cost more to raise a family on your own and made it tempting to use gov’t assistance to provide for your brood (and single mothers got more if the fathers weren’t in the home, increasing the problem).
I hope LBJ is burning in hell for his role in destroying the family
All in order to pack the Democrat plantation and keep people dependent on government

Oh cmon man, job opportunities for people other than wire males doesn’t seem like something worth complaining about. I agree the Great Society was all a ploy to get votes, but more job opportunities for everyone in the country isn’t a bad thing

This is all bullshite to make it seem like absent black fathers are not as damaging as fathers spending time w/their kids*
*which is, in fact, racist

It’s more about the inflation it caused and labor being worth less.
I’m not against people working, but having to have a dual income to have the same quality of life and the strain on the family unit it causes has had a detrimental effect on our society

Or companies could pay people more? US corporate profits have never been higher.

Your average US family works for a small business. 67% of the US works for a business with fewer than 500 employees. These aren't exactly Wall Street banks having corporate getaways in Jackson Hole while they discuss share buybacks over giving Jenny in accounting a raise.

What is the reason why dual income became a necessity?
I'm sure it was welfare and not corporate greed or anything like that.

I may spend a lot of time with my children but I'm also pretty sure they have never pulled a door handle or smashed a window, so there is that.

Inflation. The lessening of the value of a man’s labor relative to the cost of living. The banks, the government that backed them, fiat currency and the snowballing debt burying people.
Paying unskilled people more doesn’t help anything if the cost of goods rise.

FAct. Taxes are triple what they were 50 years ago, when you could live comfortably on 1 income and still save and pay for health insurance.
