Anyone really believe we’re going back to even semi-normal on May 1st?

If it’s true that the peak comes mid April, then we’ll be in the middle of the highest daily death totals we’ve seen yet. That will be right around the time the government will be discussing plans for reopening the country perhaps in small steps.

I just don’t see how we’ll be able to end any shelter in place orders with the death totals being as high as they will be. The media will be shouting against it. Facebook Karens will be up in arms. Local politicians will be competing to be the first to say they saved their constituents from catastrophe.

I’ve got a bad feeling we’re settling in to the new normal for what might be the entire summer.

What is your definition of semi normal? For Louisiana? I don't see things going back to normal until mid/late June.

That’s 4 weeks away. Imagine life 4 weeks ago, pretty normal.

We are going to have to get back to a productive society at some point, I don’t think 4 weeks away is that crazy at all.

I originally said May 15. Now I’m thinking June 1. The Ruling Class is thinking aloud every day on tv, it’s not hard to decipher.

Which should be very interesting with flu season around the corner and some regions of the country experiencing lower temps.

Maybe in some areas. Partial openings in low prevalence areas that have passed their supposed peaks by a couple weeks.

Just make it clear. No bailouts for state and local governments.

They'll change course with a quickness.

no normalcy. Dog and cats playing together. Arabs marrying Jews. Oil mixing with water. Pure chaos from here on out.

Nope, mid to late summer is my guess. And even then I think a lot of large social gatherings(concerts, sporting events, etc) will be severely limited.

I have absolutely no faith in the majority of Americana major city citizens or their elected officials
