Will really only go back to normal when there is a vaccine or when we can easily test everyone.

I think widespread anti-body testing will need to be in place before the gates are unlocked so to speak. Then there will be a gradual relaxing and reopening.

If we don't we may as well shut everything down take away everyone's jobs and just reset government and American society as a whole....because if we are still shutdown after May 1 that is obviously the only thing that will placate the Democrats.

Exactly. March this virus went after dense major cities. In April, I expect it to put rural areas in its crosshairs. Which is really going to be a frightening situation day to day.

People guessing that stay at home orders will last 3 more months are insane.

I'm praying for June 1 for the first steps to "back to normalcy" to be implemented.

It's really not crazy at all. Especially since this is being done at a state level. Most major public universities have already warned for an altered summer/autumn schedule. Major cities like San Francisco & Toronto have canceled all public events through June 30th.

This is my issue — they said we need to flatten the curve. Ok. I get it. They didn’t say that we needed to be on the other side of the curve.

I pray that this is like the electric company saying your power will be restored by 10 and so when it’s returned by 7 you’re like YES! As opposed to “it’ll be restored by 7” and it’s restored at 10.

The stay at home order can end tomorrow and we still won’t get back to normal for months. The damage is done. This economy will take months if not years to rebound. Peoples lives have been ruined in just 30 days. Imagine what another 30 days will do.

I’m thinking some time in June, IF things play out positively from here. I think gatherings over 50 will continue to be prohibited, and social distancing recommended to continue. Maybe even some measures aimed at protecting the most at-risk groups.

Crazy as it sounds I think when sporting leagues (especially baseball) resume play the perceived level of crisis will substantially lower.

When the overall economy recovers is anyone's guess. It may be when a vaccine is found.

[quote]1. A tale of 2 #COVID19 case maps:

Left: Shows total cases (bigger circles, more cases) LINK

Right: Shows cases per 10,000 residents. Much easier to see very concerning #rural outbreaks in ID, LA, CO, ID
