Anyone else been disproportionately summoned to jury duty?

Just got my third jury duty summons in 15 years. My wife has never been summoned.
I got out of it the first time but had to serve the 2nd time. A convicted felon got caught shooting a gun on New Year's Eve. His lawyer argued (and repeated many times during the trial) that his client was "toe arse drunk" and didn't realize what he was doing. Pure comedy.
But then it was declared a mistrial because one of the officers working the trial arrested one of the defendant's witnesses outside the courthouse during a lunch break.
The judge had to meet with us one at a time after lunch to ask if we noticed anything during the break. I said, "I saw the witness getting arrested. Not sure why." The judge stared at me for a second and said, "God damnit." And that was that.

ETA: my wife gets summoned about the same time as much as I do, however because she is a stay home mom there’s a check box for that, she can send it in and be good to go , doesn’t have to show up

Literally just don’t go. They can’t prove you ever got the notice.

My wife gets called very often. I got called twice in the span of three years but got a student exception both times. They told me there wouldn't be a third exemption, but I haven't been called since and that was 20 years ago now.

My number is zero. That's gotta be lower than average.

I've been 3 times, but I actually enjoy it. I really don't understand why everybody hates it so much.

Probably because many people have jobs that don't compensate them enough or at all.

My lawyer friend once told me you won't be picked "they don't want your white arse down there" in jackson, ms

I was constantly summoned while in college. I was able to get out by saying I was in school. The very last time, the guy asked me when I was graduating and he said I would be called after graduation.
I've never been summoned again and that was decades ago. I think he accidentally wiped me from the system.

I was the only white guy with mostly black women and one hispanic woman n the case I served. I figure it was because I was a teacher and the defense thought I would have sympathy for the felon firing a gun on New Years Eve.

3 times in the 6 years ive lived here. Two were canceled the night before. 3rd I forgot about. Called them and said sorry. They said dont let it happen again.

I've been summoned 5 times in the last 7 years. Sometimes I call the night before and don't have to go but I still have to be in town and available if I am called in. Its like someone telling you to keep an appointment and then canceling at the last minute.

I am 61 years old and have been called once in my life. I think I would enjoy the experience.

Just received $50 for jury selection “service” even though not picked.
Bought a fractional share of a stock with it.
I am rich!

My husband has been called on a lot in 26/27 years we’ve lived here.
I’ve never been summoned.
I’ve never been summoned.

I got summoned 4 times in a 6-7 year period. 3 times local, one time federal. Luckily I never had to sit a jury.
I haven’t been summoned in the 10-12 years since. *knocks on wood*

I have to go on the 20th for my 3rd summons. Once it was a Federal Grand Jury and I had to do every other Thursday for a year.
2nd time I wasn't selected, but sat through the trail, and I would have voted NOT GUILTY and the jury convicted him. Drug deal gone bad.

In my defense, I was toe arse drunk.

If you ever get to sit on a Federal Grand Jury do it.
