I believe this, when he hit minimum age to hold the position, I think it’s 35 and he was only 31. It’s really tragic and having children myself words just don’t describe how sad it makes me to think of his two little ones will grow up without him. For what…..

JFC how stupid.

There is no one more boring than the person who thinks that mere reflexive cynicism is wisdom.

Yep, he was click bait with cringe titles for his stuff. He obviously had an audience though as he got a ton of clicks.

Most Boomers have never heard of him but if you pay attention and want to know why Trump won the last election you can thank Charlie Kirk. He started a movement at 18 years old called Turning Point USA that challenged Academia Universities pushing all this WOKE bs. Men can be women, DEI, White Supremacy, etc but also was a genius on what America was founded on the belief in God, the constitution, and his very controversial stance on Abortion. Remember he was a man of God and liberals and universities hated him for years but as he visited Universities he began to give voices to the silenced MAJORITY yes white conservatives. To make this short he made young people feel empowered again and not afraid to speak up. He always had open mics at his events letting anyone come up and talk. Trans, white over the top libs with pronouns, pro abortion and he didn’t HATE anyone but was open to a conversation between two sides that are deeply divided. He was killed for his beliefs and we lost a great man. That’s all I got.

I disagree. The fact that some people consider his death the “worst single day since 9/11” while other people in the same place had not heard of him is proof of the niche that he occupied.

The fact that you have to call me a “boomer” is proof that the civil discourse he (apparently) championed did not trickle down to his followers.

The people acting like animals and the people demonstrably mourning are doing so online or posting videos about themselves on line.

And being anonymous or at least not face-to-face online is what destroys the civil discourse. It prevents people from engaging genuinely, allows people to stick in their corners, and throw stones. When the vitriol and insults come off line is when a 22 year old thinks it is ok to murder someone for their speech.

then your observation is flawed.
I would do more research before drawing further conclusions about a dead man.

He’s been on Fox News a good bit the last couple years. My 88-year-old grandmother was quite upset this week. And I can promise you she doesn’t do Facebook or spend much time on YouTube.

I think a lot of young people knew who he was but if you're on instagram, tick tock, or Twitter the algorithm if you care about politics at all has probably at least shown you a video of him.

I can't imagine any older person listening to him because personally he's very easy to just kind of get on your nerves annoying.

That was my impression from it but if I was in high school or college I probably would have liked wanted to debate him you know it's kind of fun.

Until this country addresses mental illness properly more and more people are going to become a statistic to gun violence. He could be alive today if we had done what we should have done.

With their cell phones out and live streaming the speeches themselves.

Are you posting on-line, on a message board?

Yes. But I post about 100 times a year on here. I’m talking about the people that post 100 times per day.

Do you watch TV, have a cell phone, watch rectangles

Yes.

Just because you are dense doesn't mean that people knew who he was are habitual on-line addicts.

From my understanding he reached out to people on TikTok, X, and YouTube. If you don’t think his supporters and detractors come from the perpetually on-line, maybe you need to look in the mirror before you call someone dense.

I don’t have TikTok or X - Charlie Kirk never came up in any of my other stuff - it’s mostly making sandwich videos and how to get the wood floors to shine

However, my husband has watched Charlie Kirk for years - but my husband is very political, however, he’s only online about 2 hours a day - someone has to work

Do you care to post those videos?

ETA: Not the "clips", but the actual exchange they were taken from.
