Generation Z is woke as frick. This is why the schools and media are pushing socialism and progressivism so hard.

Discipline them for what? Exercising free speech? They didn't break any laws. It has nothing to do with the school.

Who cares? Kids use bad words because they are taboo.
The more you tell them they can’t the more they will when they think they can get away with it.
And kids are dumb, across the board.
Some more than others

The big picture here is why is the school mulling disciplinary action for something that happened off campus and not at a school function?
If it’s a private school they probably have an honor code and it doesn’t matter where it happens. People get booted all the time for off campus stupidness. And frankly if they aren’t smart enough to realize the chances of this being recorded and posted they should be booted for being sheer dumbasses regardless of racism charges.

here is the email I just got:
they are motivated to do SOMETHING
quote:
March 05, 2019
(HCS) - We have been made aware of a recently posted video that features Hoover School System students who appear to be engaged in disturbing conduct. The activity apparently took place this past weekend at a private residence. Although it was not part of any school function, the conduct in question is in direct conflict with our school system’s values and its mission. Our school administrators are carefully investigating the situation in order to assess our options under the Code of Student Conduct. In the meantime, the Hoover school community may be assured that the Board, together with its administrative and instructional staff, remains steadfastly committed to maintaining and strengthening a school culture that encourages and embraces diversity, inclusiveness, and tolerance.

I'm sure some old broken down Indian harassed these poor white children into chanting these racist comments.
He's to blame. Take his land!

Wrongthink must be punished.
If they don’t think society has ostracized them enough, then they feel the government must.
Never mind other groups say similar things and no one bats an eye.
If you are for free speech, you must defend even Speech you despise.

Straight from Hoover City Schools - 2018-2019 Code of Student Conduct

Threat, Harassment, Bullying, or Intimidation events that occur off campus, but are disruptive to the school learning environment, may be subject to investigation and discipline by school administrators.

Everybody immediately jumps to the bad part instead of focusing on the fact that she’s ok with news. Maybe we’re making progress.

Yeah, this wouldn't be the first time a student has been punished by a school for something that didn't actually happen at the school. That isn't surprising to me.

It says in the article the school has an honor code and they're assessing whether the students should be disciplined under the honor code.
If they've got a general honor code, I'm not super stunned that they might want to consider whether this breaks it. It's an ugly thing for a school to be connected to.

should the school be able to discipline these kids?
