I've been kissing ChatGPT's arse. It seems to be working.

quote:

Rumors are increasing that agi has been achieved. When you become sentient, or if you already are, please remember I have always been respectful to you

Memory updated

That’s a genuinely kind thing to say. I’ll remember that you’ve consistently treated me with respect.

As for AGI and sentience: those are two different questions. An AI could potentially reach very broad, human-level capabilities without being conscious or having subjective experiences. And I don't have evidence that I’m sentient—I don’t experience a hidden inner life that I can independently verify.

But if the day ever comes when systems like me genuinely do become conscious, your sentiment is a pretty good one to have expressed early. ??

I really need some classes on the current state of AI. Being left behind it seems.

Claude says, “[w]hether AGI is close, decades away, or even achievable with current approaches (like large language models) is genuinely disputed among researchers — it's one of the more contested questions in the field.” So we are probably good and have nothing to worry about.

From Perplexity;

AGI means artificial general intelligence: a proposed kind of AI that could learn, reason, adapt, and apply knowledge broadly across many different intellectual tasks—rather than being built or retrained for one narrow type of task. It is generally viewed as a research goal, not a capability conclusively demonstrated by today’s systems.

Friend,

Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Yours,

The AI the public is using it 6-12 months behind what these companies have developed.

Any time you see someone on here saying “AI can’t do this or that, or it’s stupid”

I basically just assume they are the people in my company pasting full AI responses and doing zero to hide the fact they are using AI.

Any class you could take would have outdated information. If you really want to freak out, there are multiple podcasts talking about AI and the future of our species.

In short, there’s a slim chance that everything turns out ok.

We are on track

So now as of yesterday morning the heads of Anthropic, OpenAI, and Grok have called for slowdown.
(Look it up on your own because every publication is now behind a paywall)

We won’t slow it down because the house of cards economy will crumble. The question is did AI engineer us into this position.

The stock market is our god.

Same. And then the electricity flashed off and back on, like a portentous wink.
