We have thousands of PhD's in that group and we can't figure out how to teach basic reading skills. But we sure can teach CRT and common core.

I thought Common Core actually taught reading and math skills, and set standards for each class level.

No?

Exactly my point.

Yet we have people in here blaming public schools.

They're both equally to blame. The curriculum is dumbed-down every year and the schools are increasingly filled with teachers who care more about indoctrinating the students with political propaganda and social justice than learning how to read or do math. Hell, here in LA we're removing the lowest of bars to become a teacher.

I could have guessed that just from reading posts here.

Very evident based on many posters here

It is easy and funny to say stuff like this, but when posts or comments from other platforms are posted here it becomes evident this place is well ahead of the curve. Even the worst posters here can at least communicate via typing. You go elsewhere and you quickly find huge numbers of people that spell check can't even begin to help. That's not even accounting for grammar.

Progressive voters cheer. Exactly the results they seek by controlling the educational system.

Absolutely not. Not even close to being equal.

Yet plenty of kids do quite well coming from public school. How is that possible?

Kind of expected lower when you consider that a good bit of the country thinks this is a legitimate way to talk.

Things like reading, math, science are being taught.

But when you have families who don’t give a frick about education their kids won’t either. Add to it that the parent has the power to do things like challenge a kid being held back due not mastering those subjects, it adds fuel to the fire.

Hard to blame the public school system when a kid has been passed to 8th grade on a 2nd grade reading level because a parent can challenge their kid being held back. No teacher can make up that much ground.

Which is why I believe 81 Million votes cast for Joe Biden was actually a real possibility, as opposed to Democrats needing Dominion machines to change votes.
It’s because they got to vote from home. Normally the useful idiots are too lazy to actually go vote. Instead we send them the ballot in the mail.

This is the first believable evidence I’ve seen that gives credibility to the claim 81 million people did legitimately vote for Joe Biden in 2020.
how much of the January 6 trash do you think could read at the 8th grade level?

Bro, if we just had more people teaching kids the finer points of kink, role play, and BDSM, we'd have the best and brightest minds in the most important positions of power!

No one said there aren't successful kids who have a public school education. We're talking about the stats in the OP. That's an issue.

And yet we worry about these people and their voting rights. Bring back poll tests.

Absolutely!

You should have to pass a basic Civics test showing you understand how government is supposed to function, otherwise you should not be allowed to vote.

One has vastly more measurable impact on success and its not even close.

Yeah. No shite. I'd prefer to focus on the actual root causes.
