The boot hosts tequila sunrise night on lundi Gras. Those kids weren’t up at 7:30 am. They hadn’t gone to sleep yet.

Holy hell, I used to go there and TJ Quills back in college.

The boot was one of our high school hang outs as well.
Wonder how many cities have people talking about bars as high school hang outs?

Day drinking at 730am is impressive AF even on Mardi Gras day.
Can't drink all day unless you start at the butt-crack of dawn

Tulane is literally across the street. Honestly wouldn't expect that kind of thing at that spot.

The area near Delachaise was un-fricking-bearable during parades.
Never again.
(I mean, I already did know better, but went against my better judgment to go with the flow)

I haven’t watched a parade since college in that area. I started to bitch about it one day and then realized I was those kids not long ago
This was probably a guy who got hold of some bad drugs and went nuts being it was on tequila sunrise.

When I was in college I visited a friend at Loyola for Mardi Gras and it was a shock to be able to carry open beers around on campus and even to the dean's office to check in as an overnight campus visitor. fricking Catholics.

They call it Tequila Sunrise and it's a combination of blacked out college students and a ton of service industry workers who are getting off after 5 straight nights of working and doing what it takes to work those types of hours during Mardi Gras. It used to be pretty wild and has been going on for years. Sounds like it's still pretty wild.
