An overcrowded beach destination close to July 4th weekend??

No shite. It's by far the busiest weekend at the beach across the whole country.

The geographic locations are fine. It is the trash balls, Louisiana trash balls especially, that make it terrible

I’m sorry to hear you’re at a popular beach destination. I’m in houston, my mother in law is here, and I have a busy week of work to look forward to.

It's not that hard to figure out.

Look between Destin and Panama City on a map.

10 years ago the economy was also crap, people making more money allows them to travel more. I agree

though it has really blown up in the past 5-10 years but you're also there on arguably the busiest beach holiday.

It's the window stickers, ya'll should have kept that shite private instead of bragging so much.

I for one find it hilarious.

Why did you pick this week to go? Could it be to take advantage of July 4th and a 4-day weekend coming up ?

Nobody else would have that thought either. Nope

Why? You will give up around the new Buc-ee’s due to the traffic. Almost a solid traffic jam from Mandeville to there.

Culcha!

One of the greatest/worst things to happen were the stickers. Once a couple Lexus/Infinit SUVs slapped them on the back windshield, it’s been downhill ever since.

It’s crowded because so many of the beaches west of Destin have no swim orders and what not due to high water from the Mississippi River and the consequences of all that freshwater.

Went to the beach in Destin week and a half ago and the condo only had one row of umbrellas. No trashy people about for some distance on either side.

Yogi Berra

I've always enjoyed that quote for its ambiguity. Most people read it and see internal irony. I'll admit that I did for a long time as well. Then one day I read it and realized that he's Yogi fricking Berra, and likely meant it more along the lines of "Nobody (who anyone gives a frick about) goes there anymore, it's too crowded (with nobodies)."

I imagine the 30A paradigm might be similar.

LOL, I know.

The US has 95,471 miles of shoreline. The length of 30A is 24 miles.

The OT loves to complain about the smallest things and in this case .0002%

Not really unexpected for a popular area during Fourth of July week. I would say most vacation destinations along the Gulf Coast are packed.
