Seaside really prided themselves on being the escape from the rest of the coast. Old Seaside was one of the best places on Earth.
Now they’ve gone full steam ahead with the remodel and development plans. Sad stuff.
Truth to be told though. Everywhere that’s a destination is getting crowded now. We’re fighting people away in Fairhope/Pt Clear.

After reading this threadI’ve been trying to figure something out. Where along the Florida coast is still somewhat untapped? Not saying the stretches where there’s absolutely no development, but more so no big condos and such. Is there any towns or communities where you can get a place on/near the beach and not have to deal with many other people? I don’t need restaurants and bars to go to. Just somewhere with a clean beach and space

I imagine the 30A paradigm might be similar.
Except noone ever went to 30A except for Jim Carrey when he had to film that movie there unless you count the billboard personal injury attorneys from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama who have condos there.

It's been out of control for over 10 years now.

I am curious which direction MB goes during the rebuilding. They fought the high rise condos for decades but I am sure the pressure is on for more development post Michael.

Nothing like being on a beach with 6000 other people and a beautiful view of the back of chairs and umbrellas in front of you. Then the inevitable fistfight with the trash family over that last spot on the front row one day before heading back to your miserable hometown.

One row of chairs at Seacrest Beach and plenty room for more.
