I'm at Ft Walton Beach this week. It's crowded but I'm still having fun and will be going to Orange Beach next week and will have fun there also.

best time of the day is while everyone else is still sleeping start with coffee / breakfast / swim / read / have some drinks till lunch, eat, nap till 2:00 or so, do it again for the afternoon session.

Hey, I hear ya. We did it a couple years ago with one couple and then again last year with a group of friends, and both times were enough for me to say no more sharing spaces with others.
We also just aren't breakfast people. So besides being woken up at 7AM to the sound of people banging kitchen shite around and talking, its a pain to owe $75+ for your share of the groceries.. for a bunch of stuff you don't consume that someone else shopped for.

Go to Mexico Beach or St. Joe. Nobody here compared to those places. These are the last of the old school Florida beach towns in northern Florida.

Yeah, our friends all have kids and jobs that require them to be up at the crack of dawn every day so I don't fault them for being unable to sleep in on vacation.
It just definitely was a realization that people with different lifestyles probably shouldn't take one vehicle on a trip and share a condo. Not even just the schedule but people's eating habits and just every day shite you don't think about until you vacation with someone.

I won’t share space on vacations. We travel with a sitter so I get an extra room for her but that’s it. I won’t even share a house with my or my wife’s siblings, we all get separate condos
