re: 25 year old video - Crew of people out at sea learns about 9/11.

The sad and absolutely disgusting thing is, if this were to happen today, only half the country would actually react sadden and pissed.

Agreed, I don’t believe bin Laden was a real person and they for sure didn’t kill him to just destroy the evidence in the ocean. How ridiculous

2001 I was I the production supervisor for one the manufacturing unit on our plant. I walked into the control that morning and one of the board operators told me, not sure what's going on but it sounds like a plane hit a building in New York. The rest is what many have told over the years. We learned what had happened, we were shocked, we were angry, we did not understand all that had happened. Some shed a tear, some cursed, some bowed their head and prayed, many questioned, some said nothing and a couple got on the phone to check on a fried or loved one.

A day that I will always remember, even if dementia hits me.

I flew Delta to England arriving 9/11, went for a stroll to shake of jet lag and returned to hotel to find everybody standing watching CNN. Brits were openly hostile to leaders of their Muslim population. Talk-show host were out for blood during on-air interviews. Much different than US media "polite approach". The Star Spangled Banner was played during Changing of the Guard in London. Getting home took some extra days. Telecoms were flooded. US airspace was closed, then worried crew members chose not to fly, and the backlog of stranded passengers had to be cleared.
