Apologies WR as I am on my phone responding.
I understand your retort. From the video provided, the understanding was experts from the United States military deemed the value 83 on an IQ test gave significant confidence that this individual could not be taught anything of positive production.
The bridge to bind common American society to the military industrial complex is the understood reasoning that the MIC requires the same cognitive ability as what society deems a normal person. Therefore, you could make a overhead view argument that people whom scientist in the military deem unworthy of servitude due to low cognitive ability, have the same issues doing day to day tasks in what we deem a normal life.
83 and below is technically two deviations away.
I remember someone posted average IQ’s of specific degree holders here. I need to find it.

That’s so very true and scary. It really seems that the lower side of the IQ range reproduces like rabbits. I don’t get it. Do they not understand how birth control works? Do they not understand that they have the responsibility to provide for their offspring and that having 3 illegimate children from 3 different mothers removes any chance for financial stability in the future? I guess, they really are, uh, stupid.
you do realize that they know enough about how the gov will give them more money per child right?? So more kids equals financial stability to them.
I dont know if birth control is something that is covered for poor people other than free condoms. Which we all know are pointless to hand out
I dont think the retracting the vote option would ever happen today, though I would agree with it. I do think that reasonable people should agree be able to agree that a woman on govt assistance should be given a BC shot, or tubes tide whatever, once she has her 2nd child. If she cant support 2 then she shouldnt have more. Men with multiple kids out of wedlock should be forced to get snipped if he cant support his kids without gov assistance.

I have taught 6th graders with iq lower than 83.
They could learn with support.
You wouldn't expect them to adapt without close mentorship.
They could do work of a repetitive nature or physical hard work.
But society has to stop expecting everyone to be able to find their way.
Some can't. They do crime.
Once they are in prison we should be willing to deal with them realistically.
Our system is too tied into puritan ethic to realistically deal with the 83 iq people.

Why do you all post here, though?

I'm no genius but I can name 2 pure bred dipshits in my core group who probably hover around this. So yeah, seems reasonable.

Heinlein said if you get the dd214, then you could vote...

Mississippi ruined that for everyone when they were caught by feds using test unevenly, to prevent black voting but not rednecks.
It's a great idea.

I mostly agree with you there Otto, except this bit...
I know puritanicals that qualify, and lead fine lives...but it's certainly more likely that a moron commits crimes

Most (not all) teachers at every level from Kindergarten to postgraduate teach to the dumbest student. That not only holds smart students back - It makes marginal students dumber.
As a teacher, I agree with you 100%. If I were to teach on level, more than half of my students would fail. We’ve lowered the bar to accommodate those who fall behind early and can’t keep up to the point that a fat toad can get over it. If as many of my students failed as should fail, parents would be at the school screaming, and administrators would be crawling up my arse.

Even if we publicly support them, do you expect them to make good decisions?

Really? You don’t think it’s more likely that an individual raised in a household that condoned or participated in criminal activity is more likely to break the law than a child who was brought up with a firm understanding of right and wrong? Low IQ is considered to be indicative of future criminal activity?

Are you public or private school teacher? Dont know where you are, but know private schools are more prevalent in LA than other places. Wondering if this "lowering" is in the private schools there too or just public.

I thought 70 was the cutoff for intellectual disability.

my senior year only 6 passed the final.in American history.
3 As
2 b
1 c
And the rest failed.
Which for many meant not graduating.
Principle gave Cs to the flunkers.
Fired the teacher.
I liked him but he was outrageous.
I was one of the As.
