I thought the idea was to tank and get the top QB in the draft next year?
Do we want a QB that’s good enough to get a few wins but miss the playoffs and get a draft spot after second or third?

I wasn’t happy with the pick bc I didn’t want any QB this year but I want him to prove me wrong. Anyone who is rooting against this guy isn’t a Saints fan

There is a loud minority of posters on this board that want the clout of being able to say they were right more than seeing this team succeed. They would happily celebrate any sustained success this team has and will conveniently ignore any references to previous posts. But they definitely get more excitement out of the "I called it" posts where they can pull up old posts flaunting their victory.

This thread is a microcosm of the problems with this country in 2025. Everyone is so fricking miserable.
Back in the day on SaintsReport we’d all be hyping ourselves up after this news and thinking this will finally be the year Cie Grant suits up and we’re probably going to the Super Bowl.
Did deep down we know we were just sunshine pumping? Of course. But it’s fun to get excited and we’re all just fans here.

Screw that line of thinking, it gives ownership and management a pass for their utter incompetence.
Better to have constructive criticism and real fixes to real problems. Doesn’t make one miserable at all.
