The blame is on big corporations that employ them, tacitly approve their existence, or otherwise profit off of them.
Casi in point: the Consumer Staples sector has taken a beating lately. All the articles are boohooing about “nobody can even afford toothpaste, oh no!!” But in reality, think about it: if 15M+ people show up in a few short years with nothing but the clothes on their back, what do they do? Buy a shitload of products! Same applies to apartments, automobiles, clothing, etc.
The economy isn’t “crashing” as much as it’s drifting back towards actual reality.
