re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
You didn't answer my question. What do you do about music that is NOT in the living room or directly connected thereto? Don't listen to music? Or drag your equipment into the room? ...

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
Saw your post yesterday, and yes I missed the 3.1 setup. I'm a 2.0 guy, and I think getting more into accurate reproduction/amplification is rewarding in a way spreading so-so sound throughout your house is not. Digress over... re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
looks like a multizone multichannel amp w/ CCAs on each zone would work great for music but I'm not sure how it will work if I want to play the audio for what's on the TV on the speakers in that zone. Also, to play it on my AVR, I guess I would have the extra step of changing the input on the A...

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
I've looked at Chromecast. How does Chromecast handle a receiver w/ A and B zones? Do I need 2 chrome casts? Can I switch on and off each zone w/ the app or do I have to do it on the receiver? ...

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
here are a bizillion ways to do it but if you were my friend I’d tell you to buy two Onkyo receivers, a pair of speakers for the kitchen, another for rears in the main zone, and a HDMI splitter. You will need other misc parts but that’s the big parts. I’m assuming you have good WiFi in your h...
This isn’t the first time Neauxla has had a topic on what to do with his system. From all the information he’s given on the topic my opinion is C4 isn’t what you are looking for brah.
so what route would you go? Sonos connect amps for each zone Multichannel amp and Sonos connects...

What’s wrong with my drift roses? - Neauxla
Something is attacking my drift roses. What is it and how do I treat them? [img]http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g173/akdimitr/Mobile%20Uploads/FE1CA8F4-0487-4518-...

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
I just came across [link=(http://vssl.com/whole-home-audio/)]VSSL[/link] and it seems like it is a multichannel multizone SONOS connect amp that allows you to use the native music apps. But it aint cheap....

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
Just don't. Put a nice stereo in the living room and maybe a smaller setup somewhere else. Ceiling speakers are too much of a compromise, just buy beautiful speakers and a nice looking setup. Run an AppleTV or something similar to control everything through it.
You obviously ...

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
Isn’t this what a SONOS connect:amp is for? I had planned to buy regular outdoor speakers and hardware them to a connect:amp, which I thought would allow me to stream music to those speakers and to my existing SONOS speakers. Is that not right?
Yes. but not sure I want to bu...

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
This is what I want: I would like to have 3 (or 4) zones that can all play the same thing or play independently of each other. I would like to maintain a 3.1 system in my living room or possibly upgrade to a 5.2 system. I would like 2 in ceiling speakers in the kitchen. I would like 2 in ceili...
You could buy a couple of the Bose SoundTouch Link adapters. It is their version on the connect and is half the price. Currently prefer their app over the SONOS.
what do you like about the app? Is it better than or the same as chromecast music? I can't find any reviews on the Bos...

re: Are Laptops Irrelevant Today? - Neauxla
If you work from home or on the road then yes, laptops are relevant. I prefer drafting documents and responding to emails with a real keyboard, than if I had a tablet or tablet w/ add-on keyboard. I take my laptop w/ me on work trips, etc....

re: Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
Yeah I know Denon and Yamaha both have their own version of SONOSesque stuff but is there anything I can add to my existing amps instead of buying all new amps? ETA: b/c if I have to buy 2 new Denon amps, it might be just as easy/expensive to buy some connects, right?...

Whole House audio/video - Neauxla
Can anyone recommend something less expensive than Control 4 (C4) that will allow me to select audio source and send audio source up to 4 different zones and control volume etc from a tablet or phone that is NOT SONOS? I do not want to buy a ton of SONOS amps and/or connects not can I afford C4 (no...
