I hope this is not just a token interview and that the Saints are legitimately interested in him. He has done a great job with the Bucs offense over the last few years. (And yes I know that they have had a few bad games against the Saints D)

I’d rather embark on an exciting adventure into the unknown than try to have the same exact staff minus Sean Payton.

Yes I love his offensive philosophy!:
1. Have arguably the greatest QB in the history of football be your QB.
2. Profit

If we hired Leftwich the Bucs will get and extra pick.

No thanks, go look at Tampa last year before Tom took over his own play calling…

Is Tom Brady coming with him or is it a solo deal.

Take Byron leftwich over the coach who held him to 0 points at home with the best QB of all time under center. Hm

Well here is the thing about that.

Currently I guess until further notice we have a pretty solid staff in place.

So if we go outside the box and hire someone else they are going to want to bring in their guys and that will shake things up even further than they already are.

I don't know if I would be interested in doing that.

You're taking the risk of letting some pretty solid assistants go.

I mean I know our current situation isn't the best but in my opinion I would rather see them try and run this season with as much continuity as possible.

You start taking steps backwards and there's no telling what's bound to happen.

Allen all day. People seem to forget Allen’s D shut out the GOAT and Byrons offense last year.

It's easy to look at stuff like this from the outside, but in reality, if they were just going to hire DA and needed two "token" interviews they would just interview two men inside the building. This was not a token interview, neither was Glenn.

Don’t get the Leftwich hype. His only success is doing what Brady tells him to do. This would be a horrendous hire.

Allen is the right answer and it ain’t close.

I’m pretty confident these interviews are just being done to meet the Rooney rule requirement. The saints know they plan on hiring Allen but are required to interview two minority candidates. It’s okay to call it what it is. Allen is going to be the next head coach though and everybody in that building knows it.

For Rooney rule purposes you can’t interview inside the building.

The current Rooney rule is two interviews outside the organization, so exactly what we did with Glenn and Leftwich

Leftwich hasn’t done anything without Arians & Brady. Scary

Is there any objective evidence that supports your ridiculous assertion at all?

Not to mention we go probably get shut out and go 0 for whatever if we go up against Allen or a Peyton coached team the next few years where ever they end up.

The job DAllen has done with our D is so greatly unappreciated. When healthy perhaps the best in the league

So let me understand everybody’s logic. For a coach to be given serious consideration, he has to be a great coach with shitty players? The same excuse you given for leftwich could be applied to bellichick. We all know if bellichick was interested in coaching the saints everybody would be all for it.

So with your logic, I think we should also give Matt Nagy a call, he had a overall winning record with 4 shitty qbs.

I would like to see Allen get a chance
I don't put much stock in the Raiders stint
That was a dysfunctional organization the time he was there
