Kellen Moore press conferences are going to drive this board crazy. Evey response is a diplomatic non-answer. Idk, I hope he's just nervous.

Why would you want to coach who's coaching for fame?
This board is so dense, it's honestly hilarious. It's spelled out pretty clearly in the main post. You want to hold her accountable? Make her image take a hit. Put pressure on her to let her know that she's not held in high regard in this region, something that she cares about very dearly. That will ignite the flames of change under her, whether it's selling the team to someone else who will keep it here and compete, or surround herself with the people who will bring the team success, because the team having success is how she'll get her reverence.
It’s time to be brutally honest about the rot at the top of this franchise. The Saints aren’t going anywhere until Gayle Benson is held accountable. Why? Because she’s clueless. She doesn’t have a shred of business acumen or football knowledge, and she sure as hell doesn’t know how to run a winning organization.

She’s not a visionary. She’s not a leader. She’s not a savvy owner pulling strings to make this team better. She’s a socialite who inherited everything and plays pretend at being an NFL owner. Her only concern is preserving her image as the gracious, benevolent widow of Tom Benson. She shows up at charity galas, gives hollow interviews about “culture” and “continuity,” and pats herself on the back for keeping things the same. You know why she’s loyal to Mickey Loomis? Because she has no clue how to evaluate his performance. Loomis tells her everything’s fine, she nods, smiles, and moves on.

She doesn’t care about winning. She cares about looking good.

What has Gayle Benson done besides coast on her husband’s accomplishments? Absolutely nothing. Every decision she makes is about protecting her brand, not building a successful football team. Firing Loomis or cleaning house would take guts, vision, and understanding the state of the team. That’s beyond her. Keeping Loomis around lets her avoid hard questions and keeps her “stable leadership” narrative intact.

But guess what? Stability doesn’t win championships when it’s built on incompetence.

The Saints are stuck in the mud because Gayle Benson is more concerned with keeping up appearances than making bold moves. It’s easier for her to smile for the cameras, stick with her inner circle of yes-men, and pretend this is still a top-tier organization. Meanwhile, the fanbase suffers through one wasted season after another while she counts the cash from sold-out games and overpriced merch.

We’ve reached the breaking point. Dennis Allen wasn't the root problem. Neither was Pete Carmichael. They’re just puppets in a theater of mediocrity directed by a front office that’s lost its way—and Gayle Benson is letting it happen.

Nothing will change until this fanbase wakes up and makes her feel it. Stop showing up. Stop supporting a team that isn’t serious about success. Make her image—the thing she treasures most—take a hit. Because until Gayle Benson is forced to feel the consequences of her inaction, she’ll keep pretending that Mickey Loomis is a football genius and that continuity is the same as greatness.

Wake up. Hold her accountable. Or get ready for more of the same.
Blocking that fricking fieldgoal likely dropped us from top 5 to #10. Hope it was worth it.
She does not realize that she can and will lose the fans. And when that happens, she will sell the team.

Problem is, I doubt she has the intestinal fortitude to withstand the vitrol. So I foresee her selling to the first bidder. In 10 years, New Orleans won't have any professional sports teams.
Shaq not being dead for the past 40 years really helps his case.
And what GM are you putting in charge of this rebuild?
Another bright spot, we did not win the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.

Still don’t get this cope. #1 overall recruits typically do work out at the college level.

Re-worded, they don't work out pretty much as often as they do. It's a coin flip. in 20 years we went to 4 national championships, have had two heisman winning QBs, three QBs drafted either #1 or #2 in the draft, and none of them were the top recuit.

Jamarcus was closest at #4 overall QB.

The highest rated QB we've recuited in that stretch was Russell Shepard, who didn't even finish college as a QB.

The point is, if we suck for the next three years, it 100% won't be becuase Bryce Underwood decided to take $12 million to go hand the ball off at Michigan for three years.

It's not though. It's been like 12 years since "no chest" Gunner Kiel.
Kids like Bryce almost never work out. I'm not even sunshine pumping when I say I can literally care less where he goes.

Care to name any recent examples where hiring from within has worked out?
