Looks like Stan is one of the 4 finalists per Woj.

Has anyone confirmed Kidd as a finalist? Only thing I have seen is some guy from the Athletic Boston saying he is a candidate.

My guess is an assistant coach and or up and comer. Someone whose agent hasn’t leaked anything because he has no other offers to use as leverage maybe?
I could be completely wrong, but that’s just the way I’m thinking about it

I mentioned Stan Van and the Doug Collins effect a month or two ago.

SVG is a damn good coach. He failed when he took over GM duties but as a coach he’s a good one.
The pushback here will be that he’s a total Unhinged lunatic moonbat politically. He makes Mao look like Rush Limbaugh. And that really is a huge turnoff.
But as a coach, he’s a good coach. And pretty funny. It would be entertaining.

The problem with the Pistons was:
He was also the POBO, and almost no one in this era has been successful in doing both.
But as a HC I invite you to go look at his record. Dude has been very very successful.
