Rumor are swirling that Par Riley is going to clean house! Bam even mentioned it .

Fire sale incoming! Riley getting rid of coaches and players? If you are Dumars are you paying attention? Any player off the Heat squad you would take? Spoelstra?

Spoelstra isn't going anywhere. If he was I would give him anything he wanted but we would be about 20th in line to get him

Spoelstra, Bam, and Herro would be the obvious answer.
I wouldn't mind making a play for Jovic and/or Dru Smith.

Off that roster, I would be interested in Bam or Ke’el Ware.
Everyone else seems overpriced for what they bring to the table or doesn’t fit with our expected core players.

I'd trade Zion straight up for Bam in a heartbeat.
Maybe Riley's ego is such that he thinks he can get Zion into that legendary Heat fitness routine and buy into Heat Culture. Maybe he can! Let him find out. Please.

Money works but who is adding value to get this done?

Depends on what other players we get to make that work or effective.
We could technically keep Trey, Missi, Karlo, and Murray while having $108 mil in trade assets between Zion, CJ, Olynyk, Jose, Hawk, Herb.
If their value is $108MIL then we could technically take back +$130MIL in trades.
Any packages of Zion/ Herb/ CJ should get us whatever we want.

If we get players past Bam, I would think they come from another team.
Most of the Heat roster is shite.
That being said, I’m wondering how good a team based around a core of Trey, Herb, and Bam could be, especially if we get someone like Flagg.

Zion in Miami make a ton of sense for him, for us and for the NBA. I am absolutely ready to be done with is fat arse, but don't want to give him away like we did with BI.

Pat Riley usually wins on trades….i’d be cautiously optimistic on any deal he is involved in.

if you got bam for Zion you would not be giving him away. I would love that dude on my team.
he would be exactly what this team needs. He’d be a great complement, and he can carry an offense for short bursts when needed.
plus you could keep CJ

Straight up means straight up. Nobody needs any sweeteners. The salaries work.
Zion is a distressed asset. I don't need to remind this board about how much time he has missed. Bam is a 3-time All Star. He was All-Defense last year. Probably will again this year.
Riley will think he can get through to Zion. Dumars wants bad mofos. Bam is that. Make it happen!

The core would be Flagg and Bam in that instance. That is much different than if you don't have Flagg. Bam can't be the best player on a contending team. We just saw that. Bam with Trey would be very similar to Bam with Herro. I would try to get Bam with Zion. He is the perfect center compliment to Zion. I would give up draft capital if we didn't land in the top 2 this year to get that done along with salary.

Not to derail this thread, but do you really want to build around Zion? Do you really think Dumars is going to build around Zion?
I just think all trade talk (including on-court fits) has to assume Zion is a goner.

A trade that makes sense would be centered around zion to Miami, bam to Charlotte, and their presumed top 4 pick (that's not #1 overall) to us.
Mark Williams to Miami would also make sense, but not sure what else moves to Charlotte/us

Bottom line...is there really ANY team out there...that would want to end up with Zion? (Assuming we didn't throw in a bunch of "good stuff" on top... to get him out of NO)

I mean the potential is still there. I'd be willing to bet there are more than a couple teams that would think they could "get through to Zion" and salvage his career. Sure they might not be willing to pay top dollar for him. But there would still be good deals out there.

Spoelstra?
He also ain't leaving.
And if he did, he won't even look our way.

If we had a legit chance at Bam, then I would take a legit shot at Giannis. Giannis has a history with Dumars, he’s got a couple years left, we have control of their draft to offer back etc. Giannis and Bam at 4/5 would be devastating. Of course it will never happen for the Pels, but any half way decent organization with the pieces we have would be trying to make something happen. Depressing.
