Would Dejounte be in that ilk; is he a good teammate? He is a Klutch client. His salary is $17.7m, an UFA next year.
I think Dejounte in my opinion contract wise and play wise is much better than Russell and Dinwiddie. If hes gettable at a reasonable if not cheap price- you go get him in my opinion especially if you don’t have to give up a ton and you have leverage in a weak market.

You are right. $114 million extension. Includes 2027-28 player option.

We would technically be a loser team as well then.
Well….yeah

It would almost certainly be Val/Dyson/1st with the haggle being whether we send an additional 1st.
This. And considering the fact that this is a seller's market with few quality players available, it will almost certainly take that additional first.
We aren't trading BI, Herb, or Zion. Y'all can forget that crap. It could end up being Hawk instead of Dyson, but I doubt it.

I'd be shocked if they are seriously considering it. It would be a sudden shift in the type of players they're willing to bring into the locker room. That's why I don't quite buy it. But we'll see.

Prior to being in Atlanta did he have a character issue? I remember a lot of folks on here wanting him when he was with the spurs

Yeah Murray is mad weird. He’s randomly hostile. Bi Polar type ish.

Yeah not really getting why hes a bad character guy? I heard Pop loved him with spurs. Honestly heard Trae has some issues more than Murray.

He has an extension already signed.
His extension is one of the main reasons that I’d want him. His deal is really good for the production.
24.8 mil
26.8 mil
28.8 mil
Over the next 3 seasons

He has a good contract and you have to worry about the BI and Trey extension.

His deal is great, which is why I’d want to deal BI for him. He gives you 90% of BI for 60% of the cost

But imagine you don’t have to. Why trade BI for him- when the offers they’re getting for Murray are not even close regarding the type of player they would be getting back? Get Murray now and then flip BI for more stuff in offseason. Just makes more sense in trying to maximize your assets.

Stop the BI negative talk. He’s godlike to some on this board.

So he’ll only iso dribble for 16 seconds before he either shoots a fall away mid range shot or pass to CJ for a contested three?

I’m not trading BI for just Murray. But give me Murray, okongwu and AJ Griffin plus some 2nds and I’m driving BI to the airport

Where does he fit in the rotation? Presumably, Larry starts for JV but are you trading for Murray to be sixth man? Do you run Murray/CJ/BI/Z/Larry to start? Herb/Trey first subs in?
Sincerely asking.

If thats all your adding for BI it still makes no sense to trade him now. I’m just being honest from a team perspective there is absolutely no logical reason to trade BI for Murray midseason, love him or hate him- especially when the market is not dictating it.

Weird fit for sure. Not sure I’d be on board with this.

You figure that out. If you can add talent to a team for decent value you always do. I think you start Murray and close with Z at center with either Trey/Herb depending if you need offense or defense.
