An NBA basketball player being 6’6 271 lbs is unbelievably incredible. I just don’t understand how he keeps that weight being on an NBA training plan. Still incredible he can hammer it down so hard and well being that big also.
If he could take being hit by pros in the NFL his athleticism/footwork for that size would be unmatched in the NFL.

There some very big misses by the DBs in the game that led to TDs. Scheme was actually right for the offensive play and the DBs took themselves out of it.

I think the defense is going to see if they would have stayed more discipline then a few plays going differently changes a lot for their performance. They put Ole Miss in a lot of long 3rd downs, but they didn’t complete the execution to end the drive.
Also Trinidad made some throws that really weren’t great, but worked out for him due to a lack of execution by LSU or being completely bailed out with a phenomenal WR catch. He made some bad throws in to coverage that were just not great. Trinidad is getting all the love, but he was fortunate several more things broke in his favor to make him look so good in the 1st half. That is how it goes sometimes though in college football.

LSU secondary had opportunities to play much better. There were several times they were in the right place and just failed to execute. The defense had Ole Miss in 3rd and long many times and just didn’t win the down.
People can argue about not bringing more pressure, but they didn’t get to him consistently. Also they didn’t execute on the backend. Considering the blown plays in LSU’s secondary and the kind of bad breaks where Ole Miss made some really against the odds plays the defensive scheme was not that bad.
The offense really missed with some bad timing on false start penalties. Leavitt just didn’t play well in the passing game in my opinion. He seemed quick to run also.
It was a good press conference by Lane. There was a few questionable play calls, but the team is going to have to execute better. Ole Miss executed better last night. They had some risky plays go their way. They also didn’t have as many blown plays like LSU did.
