The problem is it sounds like the Hawks are doing this because they don't think the Murray/Trae backcourt is working and they want to trade Murray and improve at the same time.
Does Dyson really improve them for a playoff run? They do have a lot of shooting so they might be able to make it work. But if they don't want JV/Dyson/Picks for Murray there's really no deal to be made.

Good teams are fricking delusional.
What kind of stupid trade would this be for the Hawks.

As I noted a couple weeks ago, the Bucks are considering packaging Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton in a trade for possibly Bruce Brown or Dejounte Murray. You can add Kyle Kuzma to the list.
lol Portis and Connaughton?

Plus it saves them money which I think is a bigger deal for them. JV expires and Dyson is on his rookie deal. Personally, I don’t think they care about this year’s playoff run as much.

Don’t get too excited. Doubt we make any major moves.

You must have missed the thread where Naji is out tonight...

I have him as a career 34.3% 3pt. shooter. He is around 37% this year. What am i missing?
Posted on 2/7/24 at 8:34 pm to kpop1
Considering hes pretty damn good getting to the rim and scoring. 37% 3 pt shooting is pretty good.

He is definitely a scorer. And a very good player, all-star, etc. Mine was just a devil's advocate statement saying and meaning he is not a very good 3 pt shooter. Where the offense is set up to surround Zion with SHOOTERS, he is simply not a good shooter. 37 percent is good. This year he has been good. Just a checks and balance assessment of his game as I see it.

It would be BI for Murray or picks for Murray.
Murray and BI are arguable equal players, maybe most would be higher on Murray in general as the league seems to not see BI as a big 3 player on a championship roster.
However, it’s not a big difference other than fit imo.

I agree, but there is a big difference in salary which is why would much prefer BI

Basically
I know I'm repeating myself but the only way it works is to then use BI for a major center upgrade in the offseason.
That would be terrible.

The alternative is a BI max that immediately becomes a negative value contract.

deal is great, which is why I’d want to deal BI for him. He gives you 90% of BI for 60% of the cost
Murray gives you 90% of bi? Damn the bi hate is getting out of hand.

BI - 22ppg and 6 assists
Murray - 21ppg and 5 assists
BI more efficient scorer. Murray better defender.

Not sure how contracts add up but could it be Val/Dyson/1st for Murray/Capella?

Wonder if we can get Isiah Stewart with Naji and 1st. He's the most realistic "available" fit

Yeah. Murray is making half of what BI makes. You cannot sit there and tell me BI is twice as good. They’re around the same tier of player . BI is probably better but not by much. Factor in contract and I would waaaaaaay rather Murray

Money doesn’t work unless you attach JV or Nance
