I think we should be doing everythign we can to get Paul George, not facilitating a trade involving him.
I know we'd have to convince him to get here, but PG on this team with Herb/Trey/Zion, that 2/3/4/5 combo to close games would be really really good.

I'd prefer to send CJ to Orlando and Suggs to ATL to get Murray in this situation, but even keeping CJ, we'd be able to swap CJ/Dyson for offense/defense.
Dyson/Herb/Trey/PG/Zion closing defensive lineup would be really, really good, and all of those guys rebound well. and if Dyson can hit a corner 3 the way he did this year, then that's a scary playoff team right there.

How many teams in the league would take Trey over Kuminga?

All of them, including the team he is on?

I find this...incredibly hard to believe but ok

I don’t see him re-signing here, plus giving him a 50+ million max deal at 35 seems disastrous for us when he’s not even close to our timeline. I think he would be a perfect target for the Warriors to make one final run next season with Curry where if it doesn’t work then they blow it up and trade everyone for as many picks as they can get, which is why I would want those GS picks

I will never be in favor of trading for a max player over 32 years old, unless they're legit top 5 in the league and don't have an injury history.

Only Detroit left to make a hire, looking better for JB returning

It looks like he's just repeating a report from @DraftExpress, which I assume means Jonathan Givonny, who is connected and talks to league execs regularly and has information to trade, especially around draft time.

I would typically agree with this, but PG is still playing at a high level, and i'm interested in winning right now, not in 4 years.
He just turned 34, and he played in 74 games last year. I don't need him to play until he's 40. I just need the PG that played this past year for the next 2-3 years.

This is the same guy who called that ATL wasn't going Sarr before anyone else did.

I’m interested in that also, but I want to win now AND 4 years from now, which makes Trae Young so appealing to me.

If Cleveland would just allow JA to be a Clint Capela expiring and a few 1sts we can pretty much make any deal with ATL/NOP/CLEV work and still be under the cap.

Yeah a 3 way deal with Atlanta and Cleveland with Young and Allen coming back while Pels spend their warchest just makes a whole bunch of sense for all 3 teams. Even getting Spurs involved would make a bunch of sense too, but that would have to happen before the draft.

ESPN Sources: The Cleveland Cavaliers are hiring Golden State assistant Kenny Atkinson as the franchise’s next head coach and sides are working on a contract that’s expected to be completed soon.

Good news to keep options open for a potential BI to CLE trade if JB was going to be a road block there (who knows if he would've been or not).

I'd rather Trae than PG as well.

Getting Trae allows us to play with a traditional center and it not be a hinderance to our offense, and it's needed with Trae on defense.

If MM is to be believed, Griff hates Trae.

I don't know. I see the fit. Same agency as Zion. Fills a huge need (closer and facilitator). Has a protector in Herb.

It makes a ton of sense.

I'd much rather Trae than PG. Not even sure where George would fit?

We need a PG and a C. Personally, I put more value on the PG.

Why would he be believed? Honestly. There is seriously zero reason to put any stock in anything he says. If you want to jump in on all his hypotheticals and theories, fine, but I'm not sure why any Pels fan would ever believe any type of "inside info" this guy pretends to have.

One of the Cleveland rumors, that was probably posturing from Griff, said we don't like Garland because he's small and expensive which complicates roster building. Trae would seem to check those same negative boxes.
