wouldn’t give up Hawk, I see him as a future 6th man of the year contender. Dyson I would trade in a heartbeat, but I want Okongwu back. I’m tired of looking for a new 5 every season, as I’m sure Zion is tired of it also. It’s time to get a young good one and lock that spot down. I don’t ever see Dyson being a main bench piece, he will always be a 7th-8th man IMO
So
Hawk > Dyson
Okomgwu > Dyson
Okongwu= starting center?
Dyson- peak 7th man @ 21 y/o
Posted on 6/21/24 at 1:37 pm to Dantheman504
The peak 7th man as a 21 y/o elite defender was essentially the whole reason for the outburst a few days ago.
I apologize for that and also not realizing the level of stupidity I was dealing with beforehand.
I will stop Dying arguments...

I don't. I have 0 issues with you and you've been here a long arse time. Not sure why you were trying to side with Yaz, who really has been one of the more ignorant people on here for whatever reason being.
Soggy is soggy, it be what it be.
The wing comment was wrong anyway... And then he doubled down with Dyson peak at 7th player. Which he essentially has already been playing at 21 y/o
It was Nance/ Trey/ Dyson as our legit 6/7/8....

You are just another person who doesn't value Dyson. Lol I'm glad y'all are all popping in to say hi.
I don't mind if people think I'm an a-hole on a message board. I do mind that y'all are arguing things that don't make any fricking sense.

and if he becomes anything more than that then we need to trade him anyway as we wouldn’t have room for him.
Intentionally left out the second part of that so you can bitch or something?
Dyson’s offense will never get to the point where he will be an elite scoring guard off the bench, that much cannot be argued, which means he’s at most on this team a 7th man. If he develops into starter material, then cool, but it won’t be here because we don’t have the starter room for him, especially if we’re trading for a starting PG. Trade him now and get your starting center.

Can’t see another obvious suitor given that Jimmy is owed a shite ton of money, wants to play on a winner, and isn’t necessarily worth a ton of assets at this point.

No one is taking sides. They just don’t agree with you. Its a message board. You take things way too personally and throw fits. Just discuss like a normal person. To get this personally offended over how posters view Dyson is just a little ridiculous.

How can this not be argued??? Herb was arguably a lesser shooter his first 2 years and Dyson had several games where he shot 2/3 3/4 2/5 from 3pt.....
You could argue Herb was just as bad as Dyson at 23 y/o that Dyson is now at 21 y/o.
Throw in that they are very similar caliberd defensive players (in a tier of few) and the fact that Herb is a starter....
It's actually asinine knowing all that information and saying something as ignorant as 'it can't be argued".
It can't be argued. Not because its not a possibility but because y'all are that stupid.

Cavs?? I can see Jimmy wanting to play with Mitchell.
Magic/ Rockets are the only other teams that really make sense but i doubt Jimmy wants to play on either. Maybe Orlando if they agree to make another move just because of location.

They can’t financially afford adding Jimmy with Donovan unless they make some massive trades.

That would be dumb
The logical move is Ingram for JSJ and 3, don’t give up any picks and move Ingram
Clingan being the target is also dumb

Herb is not an elite scorer, and if you think he is, wooo boy.

How many good teams have a defensive first guy as their 6th man? I’ll help you out, it’s ZERO. You want your 6th man to be capable of going off for 30+ on any given night and averaging close to 20ppg. That will never be Dyson, nor will it be Herb.
Dyson’s best role is the role of the guy you’re likening to him, and that’s Herb. A 10-13 ppg starting defensive guard. The problem is we already have Herb and don’t need a 2nd one as a 6th man, hence why Dyson will never be more than a 7th-8th man here. Don’t understand what you find so controversial about this.
