Didn't seem like it the games I watched. Either way he doesn't shoot the ball and LeBron kind of makes him redundant because he's usually the facilitator on his team.

I still only see 10 that are realistic. Basically, the Lakers took the Clippers place.
I will bet a large amount of money that none of the other 5 will make it. People confuse "not tanking" with "playoff contender"
I think that's the likely outcome, but there's even less separation with the Western playoff bubble teams. Dallas or the Clippers making the playoffs wouldn't be shocking, it just means some serious injuries hit multiple teams.

I would be shocked if either made it. If I had to include an 11th, it would be Memphis before Dallas or the Clips

The year after we made the playoffs we started 1-11. We had everyone we did from the previous year starting the season AD/Ryno/EG, with Jrue on a bit of a minutes restriction and not playing back to backs, which was the same as the end of the season. The only difference between the team that was swept in the playoffs and the one that started the season was Tyreke and QPon being hurt.
Sooo 3 starters were out? No biggie

If I were the Lakers, I would be looking to trade Ball. Can't imagine LeBron is going to put up with his shite for long and he is redundant with James facilitating

I think Lonzo and Lavar will be on their best behavior. They do not want to leave LA and already leaked info to try to keep him there with that BS meniscus report.
I think the Lakers will be patient this year with the security that LEbron has provided them, but that team is going to look a LOT different next offseason.

if that moron even for a second says anything about Lebron the lakers will place him in witness protection or have him shot
Or both
Or both

No. Tyreke was out. There was nothing wrong with AD, Ryno or EG, and Jrue played 20+ minutes in 7 of the 11 games. calling QPon a starter is laughable.
We had a new coaching staff and no Tyreke, that should't cause a 1-11 start.

Crewz, can you tell us if the mystery player's two year contract includes a player option? If not and it's just a full 2 year guaranteed deal, that would narrow the list down to my guess... Mr. Kyle Lowry. From that list, better than J. Simmons:
Lowry- 2 yrs., no option
Middleton- 1 + 1 PO* (PlayerOption) 13mil, likely opt-out.
Gasol- 1 + 1 PO
Butler- 1 + 1 PO (doubt it)
Barnes- 1 + 1 PO 25mil (likely opt-in?)
Dragic- 1 + 1 PO 19mil.
Don't see them investing big in another big K-Love/Millsap.

He's not going to tell us more, and I think since he has already said it is highly unlikely to even happen, there's probably not a lot of purpose in continuing to try and decipher it.

pretty sure its kawhi. the whole 2 yr thing was to throw us off.

Plus Simmons was really the only potential target on a team that would be ready to throw in the towel before the season starts and Crewz ruled him out. I would assume the negotiations they're doing now are about laying the ground work for potential deals later in the season and we'll see them go to Plan B once the money dries up and add some value FAs.

Yeah agreed.
I think we add Boogie, Rondo, and a value 4th Big, and that's pretty much it. MAYBE an Ennis type or a guy similar to Miller as a reclamation project.

What money do we have to use on free agents other than the MLE?

Oleh from TBW laid out how the rest of the offseason could go:
I can't see them hard capping themselves like that though. The Apron (hard cap) is projected to be a little over $129 million. He's assuming $20 million for Cousins but if he makes any of his incentives that'd push you over the hard cap, which when you're hard capped you're not allowed to do, so it would force you to dump salary before the end of the year.
I think they stick to an offer of 2/$8 for Rondo and sign one more non minimum FA with the $2.9 million remaining from the Taxpayer MLE.

Unless they can swing a trade during free agency, Pelicans hard-capping themselves seems likely IMO. One scenario:
DeMarcus Cousins: $20,000,000 mil
Rajon Rondo: $6,000,000 mil (he + Payton fill entire non-taxpayer MLE)
BAE -- $3,551,100 (max) -- Jeff Ennis?
Total: $128,321,674

I can't see them hardcapping themselves either.

Which means leaving only the full MLE to use while staying under the apron and not hard capping ourselves. Is that right? Then only being able to add minimum guys to fill the roster.
From what I can tell, Cousins contract will dictate whether we're hard capped or not

Using the full MLE does hard cap you by definition. While it sounds like they are keeping all options open because "Cousins contract will dictate whether we're hard capped or not". I'd expect Cousins back with no market for him meaning the team will need to avoid hard capping themselves by using the Full MLE or BAE. Practically speaking they only have about $2.9 million left of the Taxpayer MLE after using $2.7 million of it on Payton. They also have the 20% raise they can give Rondo/Clark with Non Bird Rights.
