Agree. I was hoping next year wasn’t lost. Terrible time of the season to have any kind of long-term injury. This is great news as far as I’m concerned, even if he doesn’t play again this season.

Also props to New City Champ who posted this early this morning in the other thread:

Got an early report from someone close to organization that injury is not that bad, not season ending. For what it's worth.

Not nearly as bad as it could have been, hopefully he recovers well and is back in 3 weeks.

I actually think BI will come back faster for this injury just bc of what's at stake. But in any event, that is the best news possible.

I know it was the playoffs so people suck it up, but Giannis sat out a week.

Giannis hyperextends knee in game 4 of ECF

Article on injury after the playoffs

Hopefully BI can take a good 3 weeks off and be ready to go. the 3 week mark would be Friday against GSW in the 2nd to last game. Would be nice if he could play the last two games, regardless of the standings just so he can get some run before the playoffs start.

If he tore his acl he wouldn't be back until the 2025-2026 season most likely. And we'd have to extend him or trade him for pennies. It would be such a fricked situation.

Basically the Boogie situation which led to the AD era downfall.

Ingram will be re-evaluated in two weeks

2 weeks is great news. Its the dang re-evaluate that I hate. No sports organization has abused the word re-evaluate quite like the Pels.

Yeah this is great news long term for BI and the franchise. I just hope others can step up and we can get a top 6 seed.

We dodged a huge bullet. I hope the bursa sac didn’t receive too much damage. All in all thought great news. Probably will be out the rest of the regular season but this team can fight and hold on for BI. They just need to come together and Trey needs to step up.

Absolute best case scenario following that injury. I would say realistically, minus any setbacks, best case would be April 5 vs Spurs. Realistically probably another week. At this point in the season, a lot will depend on how the team is playing on that home stand.

Now we get to see full Zion commitment and more trey in the starting lineup.

Bi about to comeback and go off on the league. I felt BI needed some rest anyways and that was the reason for his mini-slump. If he can get a couple of regular season games before the playoffs, all is well.
BI needs at least 3-4 games bc he tends to need that to get back in a groove, but when he does, he usually plays well from that point.

I hope he's back by the game at Portland on April 9.
Will be my second Pels away game.

What sucks is that our schedule is so rough coming in that we might be clinging to a play-in spot by end of season

I would not worry about the Mavs. They are going to pas us simply based on schedule strength disparity
Kings are all over the place. I think we can win enough to keep ahead of them, plus we have tiebreaker.
Suns have the toughest schedule left. We need all the top teams to still have things to play for and I like our chances staying ahead of Phoenix.
Lakers are still too close to us for my liking. Still think we win enough games to stay ahead.

All that saying, our goal needs to be to hold on to the 6th seed.
