It's totally mental, after every practice you always see Zion shooting 3's with the coaches. But he has this mental block during the game where he thinks if he not getting to the rim it's a bad shot. At this point in his career it's obvious that he will never take a jump shot or shoot the 3 on a regular basis.

Poole and Hawkins combine for over 40M. Its a huge chunk. Worst thing we can do is take on longer bad money..

That's not how the cap works the Pels are over the cap so you want get 40 million in cap space if you just let them walk. Poole and Hawk are getting traded the only question is if it will be in the off season are at the deadline.
It really amazing how corny some of y'all are, like what was going through your mind when you was typing this out.

Hawks may have found something with that lineup they finished the game with. And my goodness Mike Brown is terrible those lineups he use to start the 2nd and 4th quarter lost them the game
The pistons players must don't feel the energy as they have lost 11 straight home playoff games.
This team is in desperate need of shooting so why are we concerned with a guard shooting 14% from 3 and 60% ft

Billion dollars on minimum upgrades is not the answer

Where are you getting that this is a billion dollar renovation? The SuperDome renovation only cost $500 million and this is no where the scale of that.

Well are you okay with it? Good enough? San Antonio, Dallas, OKC decided to build new arenas.

I'm fine with good enough if it doesn't put a large burden on tax payers. New Orleans has to many problems to build a mostly tax payer funded new arena like OKC who owners are paying $50 million of a $900 million project. I was very pleased with the Dome renovation.

For the people that are actually interested the Lock on Pels guy talks about this subject in the last segment.

The cliffs a new lease is being worked on right now and he said he has seen renderings of SKC renovation and he finished off by saying everything he has been told is this is not going to be a short term lease like 5 years but one that will really tie the team to the city.
If a good haul to you is some second round picks then sure.

Dort would be a end on the bench guy if it wasn't for the refs, the amount of stuff he gets away with is insane.

McMahon hasn’t been good at lsu, but…..

It is a massive issue that lsu and its donors are funneling more money into women’s basketball, baseball, and even gymnastics than men’s basketball

How is lsu supposed to field good rosters when the university won’t give McMahon the money?

has little to do with the cap situation. It's about building a team for the future, and Zion ain't in that future.

What do you think the Hawks just did?

Developing a team outside of him and not having to completely change how you play depending on if he's playing or not, is another excellent reason why you're simply better without him.

The Hawks didn't cut Young they traded him for salary filler the Pelicans right now can't even get that for Zion. Cutting Zion now without getting matching salary in return would kill any hope of future team building as it would put you under the cap limiting your options. The best time to trade Zion is the off season when more options will be open

There's not a person in the world who would be happy to add Zion and his contract to this team right now, so why would we not rid ourselves of Zion and his contract when we can do it, with or without another team helping us get there?

Explain how just cutting Zion would help the team with the current cap situation.
It's like Zion has set out to be the most useless star player of a team ever. A 6'6 PF who's a bad defender awful rebounder below average handles refuse to shot outside of the restricted area and the only thing he is great at is getting to the rim and making a contested layup that ends up with him on the floor making the floor out of balance on the other end. And let's add the fact that he is always injured and you get all of this for the low low price of $40 million a year

I'd like to refresh your memory, that's the exact same thing people said about JAX seven years ago. Seven years later, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anybody that would say that Jaxson Hayes is 'It".

Fears has all the makings of D'Angelo Russel -- serviceable, but poor Basketball IQ with a lot of empty numbers.

Man I wish some of y'all give players time to develop, dude just turned 19 and is learning the hardest position to play, during it with possibly the worst spacing in the NBA for a down hill attacking guard. And just a month ago he was top 5 in rookie rankings.

And since you like comparing just look at where NAW is at and how much he improved and Fears has already shown more than NAW did his rookie year while being 2 years younger

Herb shoot awful tonight and he still was the only player other than Jose with a positive +/-. Herb was the only reason our defense wasn't cover your eyes horrible tonight.

The fact that there not a good 3 point shooting is the reason they can't drive the ball to the rim because the defense has everyone around the paint.

I just wish we can't get rid of Zion, dude is hindering the growth of the young players. Queen plays so much better when Zions not out there and Fears is and attacking down hill guard but Zion clogs the paint.
Thank goodness for Jay Johnson, I have no doubt Woody would have hired that Oregon State coach if he had it his way.

I take a chance for a first down (which was very close to PI) over worrying about burning Tenn last time out by running the ball.

It really shows how different the college game is from the NBA, take Kon for example he was good at Duke but I had no idea how well his game works in the NBA
