I don’t claim to know much about the basketball, but I find it odd that a dude whose entire game was shooting 3’s, now thinks he’s a point guard? Perplexing to say the least.

re: LSU’s football atmosphere sucks

There are a lot of reasons, but this is my number one. It was 9 o’clock and it was halftime for a game that was supposed to start at 6:45 PM. It’s beyond absurd, especially when you have to drive back to New Orleans.
That’s interesting and makes sense. I was at LSU at the time and I remember the sign he posted at Canes as the opened “Let the chicken wars begin”. I thought it was personal at the time but had no idea if it was
If it’s normally about a 9 month recovery time, you can add at least four “reevaluating in two weeks” reports. That should put it right about New Year’s day.
I had no idea, but I had been in Vegas with my wife and a few other couples since the previous Thursday. In 2005 we all had blackberries so no one was on the Internet on their phone, and no one was watching the news while in Vegas. I found out when I called my brother for some baseball picks because that was really the only sport to gamble on at the time. He was at my house preparing it by bringing patio furniture, potted plants, etc inside. We extended the trip to Monday and had to fly into Houston and rent a car to get to Baton Rouge to meet up with the rest of our families.

I watched the first two episodes last night. Only white people to be found anywhere so far are Kathleen Blanco and Mitch Landriu. He is very proud of the fact that he was once the lieutenant governor of Louisiana. He mentioned it about 37 times in 10 minutes.

Not one mention of Lakeview or the Mississippi Gulf Coast yet. Not holding my breath that is going to be touched on in episode 3.

And yes, Spike Lee is behind it so of course they brought back that crazy arse woman from the first documentary. Phyllis something or other is her name. Huge shocker that this woman did not age very well over the last 20 years.

The interviewed the same dude from the Hulu Katrina documentary that was recently released. I forget his first name, but his last name is Shelton. Amazing how the Hulu documentary portrays him as a pretty decent guy, and the Netflix documentary portrays him as a huge whining victim throughout the entire thing.

All in all, I’ll watch the last episode because it’s just like watching a train wreck at this point.
I’m clearly in the minority here. I flew to Panama City through Houston a few weeks ago to get to seaside. Travel time was a llonger but I didn’t have to deal with traffic and I wasn’t in a hurry. I have to go to Memphis in a couple weeks and I’m doing the same thing to avoid that 5.5 hour boring arse drive.

I have a ton of points from work travel so it’s free. Also have SW companion pass so it’s free for my son as well. I can get things done on the planes while relaxing and having a couple drinks.

I know it sounds insane, and it is to an extent. I just hate driving.
Yea, I’m sure they are just holding large blocks of tickets in prime sections from potential season ticket holders so they can sell them later at a discount. Makes total sense.
3 of the 5 tickets I gave up 2 years ago are for sale. I get sales calls often. This is total bullshite. I also got a this email about group tickets last week.

If I was a democrat, I would have voted for it multiple times.
Has anyone played Colordo national?
His ego and utter lack of self-awareness should have him no higher than 32 regardless of the roster, and even potential future success (should it ever return) on the field for that matter.
ESPN was once on in the background of my house the majority of the time I was home. Once they went to all the argumentative talk show woke bullshite I haven't turned it on except for LSU games in years. I would imagine they are somewhat discussing the Thunder win today, unless they somehow found a way to turn it into a LeBron discussion of course.
Great show so far. If you have ever caddied for your son in a golf tournament, episode 3 is probably the most realistic episode in the history of television.
Nothing fantastic but if you were a fan of the show in its heyday its definitely worth a watch.
If CBS didn’t think they were at fault, they would have offered nothing. They tried to settle because they fricked up. By offering 15 million, they are basically admitting fault but trying to make it go away in order to avoid a public apology and to make it go away. But you, a random shite poster on a message board, thinks It’s a shakedown? You, sir, are a fricking moron.
Agree. I have a condo right by there and I enjoy it and I'm a 17. Sure you may lose a few extra balls, but its quiet, the greens are always in great shape, and the people are great. Actually ran into Bubba Watson out there last year.
Leavitt ending the briefing by encouraging Kamala Harris to continue speaking as much as possible was hilarious.

Senior year high school soccer in the state semis I got completely burned on a through ball and my guy scored the only goal of the game on a breakaway. Once every few years I'll think about it and it'll bother me. Thanks.

Similar thing happened to me but it was a long throw in I didn’t expect and it was my sophomore year in the quarterfinals. There were quite a few upset seniors that night.

Got burned pretty bad in a club game once that I’ll never forget. It was that night in Atlanta that I learned I wasn’t nearly as good as I thought I was. Turned out the kids burning me were Josh Wolf and Clint Mathis. Had no idea who they were at the time but they ended up playing on the US National team.
FYI, The games just got moved to Lamar Dixon in Ascension Parish. You’re still good at that Renaissance on Bluebonnet. Your certainly not gonna want to stay in Ascension Parish. It was moved because of the rain and there’s turf field there.
We will be trading in Houston, Austin, Dallas, Kansas City, and Denver, for Nashville, Birmingham, Memphis, Chattanooga, Knoxville.. It seems like that may be an advantage from a travel standpoint, but we are losing our direct flights. The biggest advantage is not having to drive to Baton Rouge twice a week for practice. We’re also looking forward to be able to compete in every game in that conference instead playing all these academies mostly shorthanded because of the travel

Good luck this weekend and safe travels. I’ll be out there.
TDP elite is on both the girls side and the boys side. The boys play in MLS next, and the girls play in the GA. TDP elite is disbanding. It was a partnership amongst Louisiana Fire, BRSC and Krewe rush. Fire and Krewe wanted to pursue opportunities in ECRL (Boys/girls for Krewe and girls for Fire) and ECNL. (Fire Boys)

BRSC is becoming LESP for the girls and the girl side will continue to compete in the GA. No idea why they feel like they needed a new name and why they didn't; just compete in the GA under the BRSC name. The BRSC boys will compete in tier 2 of MLS next. It is a new tier in MLS next made mostly of clubs second and third teams.

TDP boys will mostly go to back to Fire to compete in ECNL because the very large majority of those boys were from New Orleans. TDP girls will stay in Baton Rouge and continue the GA under the LESP name because the very large majority of those girls were from Baton Rouge, especially at the younger ages
As many people mentioned, the Renaissance on Bluebonnet is your best bet.

What club are you with? I have a son on one of the teams. And yes, we get the shite kicked out of us by the Academies. And yes, it’s difficult at times. But most age groups compete well with everyone else in the conference and at the showcases. It’s also the most difficult conference in the country by far. Moving to ECNL next year will be a welcome change.

re: Ticket prices for 25-26

That doesn't make any sense. I have sold my tickets to every game except one. By the time I could actually go to a game based on my schedule, the season was virtually over based on injuries and the way they started.

I went to a game around Christmas to buy Christmas presents with my pelican bucks and haven't been back. I'm not selling them to make money. I simply have no desire to go to the games because of the product. I'm sure they would be happy to take my 10 grand again if I wanted to renew, but unless they win the lottery and hire a new coach, I'm not.

Whoever is not being allowed to renew, must have done something to warrant that. And if not, this organization lacks more self awareness than we could ever even dream to imagine.
Anyone who buys season tickets to this shite show is sick in the head. I genuinely think they’re literally laughing at people that renew at this point. I went to the first game of the season last year and sat in my old club section corner for half of what it would’ve cost me if I renewed my season tickets. Tickets obviously got much cheaper as they continued to lose, but I had no desire to even go again.
I’ve never bought a car in Louisiana. I bought my daughters car in Dallas last year and I bought my most recent car in Denver. Both delivered to my door. Easy Peezy. Save lots of cash.

Hopefully the head west toward Metairie and hit the soccer fields at Lafreniere park. They are out there every night.
Shanon Agofsky is the piece of shite who kidnapped a banker from his house, took him to the bank to rob it, and then tied him to a chair and weighted in with cinderblocks before throwing him in a lake. I Remember seeing a remember seeing an episode of FBI files on Discovery about the story. It was one of the most fricked up episodes. Yea, I’d say that’s the kind of a-hole that definitely deserved the death penalty.
Went to grammar school with him at Ecole Classique. He was a couple years ahead of me though. Always been well respected.
