Why would either coach leave their positions to take on this shite show? And what could the Lakers even offer as compensation for doing so?

Snyder is with the Jazz IIRC and Doc is with the Sixers. Both jobs are a lot fricking safer than the Lakers one given the lack of assets and LeBron probably bolting after next season.

The same poverty franchise getting PPP loans to cover luxury tax payments? This is also while still owing Vogel $5-$6 million since he has a year left on his deal.

They just need to hire LeBron as the coach. Bill Russel did it and played, why can't LeGM?

I cant see LeBron leaving LA until/unless Bronny gets drafted.

When he left previous destinations, they could all be justified.

- Left Cleveland originally because he did all he could do and couldn't get a championship and always had crap supporting cast and everybody knew it.
- Left Miami because he got his championships and he had the good look of returning home
- Left Cleveland again because he got his hometown and championship and accomplished what he set out to do. Set his legacy in stone and healed any wounds from him originally leaving.

What justifiable excuse would he have for leaving LA other than the team sucks and it's mainly his fault? Bailing on LA for any reason other than going to play with his son would actually hurt his legacy. He would be bailing on a bad team, leaving them in shambles and going to join yet another super team. That's not a good look at all for someone wanting to be considered the goat.

Lebron listed as out tonight against the Suns.

As I expected, he's gonna dodge the harder defensive team they have left

Lakers are eliminated with a loss and Spurs and Pelicans wins, I think.

More had to do with the Miami roster being on the decline and Cleveland was set up better asset wise for immediate success with him added to it

If they lose they can't catch us even if we lose out.

Phoenix has lost their last two games.
CP3 played against OKC, but Booker and Ayton did not, and they got whooped.
They all played at Memphis, and got beat by a Grizz team without Morant or Bane.

They are comign back home after a playing 8 of their last 10 on the road, so maybe they'll be ready to go tonight, but they really have nothing to play for. Hopefully they remember what the Lakers said about them last year and they aren't going to take it easy on them.

I'd imagine just about every WC team would gladly be the ones who officially knocked the Lakers out of the playoffs.

Yeah but Lebron's media shills are pretty shameless. When Vogel gets fired they lump it into his post mortems.

It’s like they don’t know the internet exists

LeBron James finally has his second superstar running mate on the Los Angeles Lakers, as LA has reportedly formed a Big Three with him, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. Some fans may wonder why LA pulled this move off since the team needs shooters, and Westbrook has never been the greatest at shooting the ball, but it appears James knew who he wanted. In fact, according to a report, James, Davis, and Westbrook hatched their Lakers plan at The King’s house weeks ago

On top of that, Toni pissed them off by saying “They only beat us because I wasn’t healthy.”

They will play everyone tonight to destroy them while grabbing that franchise record.

The King DGAF about all of that. The narrative is out. He is a victim of Vogel, poor guy. Let’s just hope he gets the scoring title so that he can relish in his own, self important greatness.

He can get the narrative out but a lot of people are sick of his shite.

Vogel was not great by any means but it is hard to make chicken salad out of chickenshits.

That’s the thing though. Vogel is a good coach. He just wasn’t the King’s chosen coach. They guy said frick the King and went to the clippers.

There are voices in the wilderness calling out that pompous frick, but by and large most believe “The King” is a victim here.

How many times can one guy build a roster of guys around them that falls apart and blame everyone but themselves?

re the scoring title, there is a loophole
quote:

James could theoretically throw on a jersey in a meaningless game against a tanktastic Oklahoma City Thunder squad that has given starting nods to Jaylen Hoard, Vit Krejci, Theo Maledon, Isaiah Roby, Aaron Wiggins, and Aleksey Pokusevski during April and absolutely obliterate the overmatched competition. He still wouldn’t meet the 58-game threshold, but a true evisceration of OKC could potentially give him the scoring title nonetheless. If he scored 30 points — again, six fewer than he’s posted in any of his last five appearances — he’d have an effective scoring average of 29.7. A 40-point outing would yield 29.9. Fifty? Then he’s looking at 30.1. But this is LeBron James we’re talking about. What if he pulled a David Robinson and scored 70 in his final appearance, shamelessly calling his own number and making it clear how much he prioritized the second scoring title of his career? It’s entirely feasible given the scoring numbers he’s posted this season, and that would give him an effective average of 30.4 points per game.

TLDR: he could play one more game (OKC) and if he scores 70 or more he'd win the scoring title
