LeBum losing the scoring title would be the ultimate cherry on top of this season for me

So if the Lakers lose tonight, what will need to take place for them to be out of Play-ins?

Pelicans win
Spurs win
Lakers lose
They're out
Spurs win
Lakers lose
They're out

2 Spurs wins I believe, could be wrong but thought their magic number was 3 and with a loss it becomes 2

Spurs to win any of their next four games and for the Lakers to win all of their last 3.

We need 2 games between spurs wins and lakers losses for the lakers to be eliminated basically. Could happen tonight with a pels and spurs win and lakers loss.

I joked earlier about LeBron scoring 80 against the thunder but thanks for confirming that

A Spurs win or an additional Lakers loss past the Suns game sends them home for the offseason.

Lebron is out for tonight. Assume lakers conceding tonight’s game as a L.
Assuming the loss tonight, Lakers need to win five in a row - 3 regular season games and 2 play-in games - and need the spurs to lose their last 4 games to avoid the lottery.
I don’t care if whoever we take is a giant bust. It’s going to be sweet using that laker pick.

Package the pick with Devonte for E’twan Moore for all I care. I just don’t want them to have it.

Lakers aren’t getting the pick either way

Suns deep dick the Lakers tonight, and the Warriors fire it up to deep dick them on Thursday. Immediately after Thursday, the warriors shut everyone remaining down and allow the spurs to rail them.
We get #8.
We get #8.

It’s not enough. We need to use a laker pick to draft bronny and bury bronny on the bench in Birmingham.

I get the sentiment when people keep saying this kind of thing, but honestly frick all that. I want to be greedy and absolutely bury them. I want ten years from now people to say “and remember that the Lakers could have had x5 all-NBA _________ but they traded that pick to the Pelicans!” Not because it helps my team, that’s just lagniappe, but because it hurts the Lakers. I’m operating out of sheer spite.

I'm with you.
I'm already eyeing that pick swap next year and the 1st for 24 or 25. I think we're gonna take multiple 1sts from them when it's all said and done. If we can turn any of them into stars, that will be the ultimate justice.

They can already say that. Pretty sure the Lakers were taking Garland if they kept #4. That’s who most lakers fans wanted anyway. Plus the Klutch connection.

Spurs playing hard without Murray so far. They're up 6 early in the second quarter at Denver.

Spurs up 17 now! They're having a huge 2nd quarter.
