Sorry, had to go with top 6.

Jaws
Shawshank
Groundhog Day (I know it’s not objectively one of the greatest but I just personally love everything about it)
Saving Private Ryan
Interstellar
Lord of The Rings

If we broaden it to the greatest thing put on film Lo seine Fove and Band of Brothers would be up there.

Last of the Mohicans
Shawshank
The Godfather I and II
Saving Private Ryan
Unforgiven

If the category was top 5 favorite movies, I would replace Unforgiven with Dumb and Dumber but Dumb and Dumber doesn’t feel like a film.

I’m too old to settle on 5, so here’s 10. I like epics and movies that play with my emotions:

1. Lawrence of Arabia (in 4K)
2. Godfather 2
3. Braveheart
4. Forest Gump
5. The Right Stuff

6. Dances With Wolves
7. Legends of the Fall
8. Shawshank
9. Ten Commandments
10. 13 Hours (Benghazi)

Doesn’t qualify but Lonesome Dove miniseries is phenomenal.

Honorable mention: Jurassic Park; Thin Red Line; Letters from Iwo Jima; To Hell and Back (Audie, my man); Platoon; Patton; Hamburger Hill; Forbidden Planet; The Fifth Element; Leon: The Professional; Magnolia and Gone With the Wind. And, yeah, Saving Pvt Ryan.

Late add-on, Pulp Fiction and original Star Wars.

Tough for me to pick 5, Jurassic Park is number 1

After that

Men in Black
Gladiator
The Patriot
Ghostbusters
Predator
Halloween
Gangs of New York

Any of those could be on there
