obviously not on the level of Daniel Day Lewis but I normally enjoy Matthew McConaughey

I'd rank his best performances
True Detective S1
Dallas Buyers Club
Killer Joe Cooper
Interstellar
Wolf of Wall Street
Lincoln Lawyer

Silver Screen era = Humphrey Bogart, hands down. Several other greats but Bogie was special.

Pre-current era = James Garner

Current era = Denzel Washington.

Maybe I missed it, but nobody has mentioned Cate Blanchette, who I think is the best actor working today, male or female. My favorite male actor is Gene Hackman.

DDL is probably the best actor

And, honestly, Meryl Streep is the most
Overal talented actress

Favorite actors?
DDL, Freeman, Denzel
Fave actress?
Diane Lane, Saiorse Ronan and Scarlett Johansson
I also think Michelle Williams is
good and sometimes overlooked.

Heath Ledger. His role as The Joker was solid.

Edward Norton Jr. favorites are The Worm and in Fight Club.

Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator.

Mel Gibson as Mad Max and in Braveheart was awesome.

Couldn’t pick a “favorite.” Leo and DDL are some of the best at their craft but I wouldn’t say I like them or seek their stuff out. They are by far some of the most talented at what they do but far from my favorites.

As far as like them and their body of work:

Jimmy Stewart
Tom Cruise
Chris Pratt
Tom Holland
Bogart
Audrey Hepburn
Rosamond Pike
Maureen O’hara
Arnold
Mark Wahlberg
Robert Downey Jr

Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio are two of the most versatile actors that I’ve ever seen. They immerse themselves in whatever roles they take.

As far as modern babes, I’d say that Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie take the cake

Whatever happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type. He did what he had to do.
