Against All Odds. It's got everything, including the theme song by Phil Collins and the super 80's cast.

Weird Science. Imagine even the concept of this movie being discussed today! Plus Anthony-Michael Hall is as 80’s as 80’s can get.
Honorable mention: Ghostbusters, Goonies.

I'd go with Breakfast Club.

Fast Times is most reflective of the times and what it was like growing up as an early 80s kid. Many of the movies mentioned were OUTSTANDING but would have been great if released in the 70s or 90s too.
I saw them all, and Fast Times defined the 80s IMO. Arcades....working at the mall....van's shoes...the clothes...GEN X latchkey kids everywhere...absent parents....yep, I remember it well.

I don’t think Vacation has been mentioned.

Not my favorite 80s movie but sums up the spirit pretty well…

Breakfast Club and Fast Times as I can relate to them the most.
But Top Gun and Porky's are some of my favorites.

Fast Times is a definite. Terminator is great.
One that hasn't been mentioned yet is Commando. Cheesy one liners, great music, and Rae Dawn Chong!

For me it’s fast times at ridgemont high.. probably the most accurate display of the real 80s in high school

My first thought
For adults- Rocky IV
For teens- Fast Times
For kids- Goonies
