The armor allowed Boba Fett to survive the Sarlac pit. So, I think you are underestimating how much protection it gives. The rest of the suit isn't a Hanes t-shirt.

Looking a little deeper at Grogu's flashback...
When he and Beq get to the landing platform, that's a Naboo (Nabooian?) shuttle, and a group of Nabooian guards. Their outfits are the same as the group protecting/helping to retake the palace in Phantom Menace.
Are we going to see some tie-in to Padme before she dies? We know that she was still on Coruscant at that time, because she sees the holovid of Anakin leading the attack on the temple.

I wonder if the mandalorians are being set up with that beskar fragment at the end? I know there are other factions of mandalorians that could have done it but I don’t feel like that’s what is happening here.

I would think that Clan Saxon would still be loyal to the Empire. Moff Gideon could be working with them to rebuild the Duchess. That would tie directly into Sabine.

Now that's how you do a Mid Season Episode. It was great from start to finish.
I'm sure Bo is happy she can take her helmet off. Can't wait to see how these last 3 episodes shape up, and then we should get an Ashoka Trailer for May 4th.

After seeing the smoke at the Jedi Temple she probably alerted her entourage to be of aide to Jedi fleeing the temple.
The Naboo have a profound respect for the Jedi because of Qui Gon, and would likely seek to help them.
I have a feeling that ship may belong to Jar Jar.
